Richard J. Bogert Jr., of Tampa, Fla., formerly of Monroe, a construction laborer, died Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at his residence. He was 40. The son of Richard J. Bogert Sr. & the late Margaret M. Dickson Bogert, he was born in Yonkers, N.Y. on February 5, 1965. Survivors include his father, Richard J. Bogert Sr. of Matamoras, Pa.; sister, Laura W. Kervella & her husband James of Norfolk, Va.; nephew, Tyler; niece, Cameron; and several aunts, uncles & cousins. There will be no visitation. "Jack" Coughlin, a longtime Liberty resident, died Saturday June 18, 2005 at Achieve Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Liberty, N.Y. He was 89. Jack was born in Yonkers on September 24, 1915 to the late John and Mary Landers Coughlin. He was the widower of Vivian S. Coughlin, who died in 1983. Jack was a retired foreman for Livingston Manor Lumber in Liberty. Jack was an Army veteran of World War II; and a member of the Sullivan County Golf and Country Club in Liberty, where he was club champion many times. He is survived by several dear friends. Croswell, Mae Formerly of Goshen, N.Y. Mae Croswell, 85, a former longtime resident of Goshen, died peacefully in Frankfort, Ky. on June 7, 2005 after a long illness. Mrs. Croswell was the wife of the late Roy W. Croswell. She is survived by a son, Peter, of Frankfort, Ky.; and two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Sanchez of Hurley, N.Y. and Martha Croswell of Williamston, Mich.; and four grandchildren. Mrs. Croswell was born and raised in Easthampton, Mass.; earned her Bachelor of Education degree from Westfield State Teacher's College, and did graduate work at SUNY New Paltz. She was a teacher who started her career in a 2-room schoolhouse in western Massachusetts, followed by a 3-year tour as a missionary teacher in the Middle East. She taught for many years in the Goshen and Middletown School Districts. She was a longtime member of the Goshen United Methodist Church and volunteered at the Goshen Library and the Red Door Thrift Shop. She moved from Goshen in 2001 to live with her family in Hurley, N.Y., and later to Frankfort, Ky. She attended te St. James United Methodist Church in Kingston and the Presbyterian Church USA in Frankfort. A memorial service will be held at the Goshen United Methodist Church at 5:00 PM on June 29, 2005, followed by a light supper. A graveside ceremony for family will be held at the Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Woodstock, N.Y. on June 30, 2005. Crowe, an Operating Engineer for Local #825 in Springfield, N.J. and lifelong area resident, died Friday June 17, 2005 at his residence. He was 56. A son of the late Bartholomew Crowe and Margretta Fitzpatrick Crowe, he was born February 26, 1949 in Suffern, N.Y. John was a veteran of the U.S. Marines serving during Vietnam; was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Highland Mills, N.Y.; and was a member of VFW Post 8858 in Harriman, N.Y. He is survived by his wife, Barbara A. Beach Crowe of Highland Mills; two sons, John F. Crowe Jr. of Highland Mills, and Jason P. Crowe of Harriman, N.Y.; daughter, Jaclyn A. Dorozynski, Derek John Derek John Dorozynski, lifetime resident of Tuxedo, died June 16, 2005 from a tragic car accident. He was 36. Beloved son of Capt. John W. Dorozynski Sr. & Annette R. Galante Dorozynski of Tuxedo & North Hutchinson Island, Fla., he was born on September 19, 1968 at New Rochelle Hospital. Derek worked at Orange County Environmental Facilities in Goshen, N.Y. for 16 years as a laborer. He was a Union member. He also was employed part-time in his greatest love as instructor at Sterling Forest Ski School, learning how to ski since he was 3 years old. He also loved to Jet Ski. He was an all season lover of sports, as he was proficient in playing pocket billiards & won trophies. His other love was ballroom dancing. Derek graduated from Monroe-Woodbury High School in 1988, attended OCCC & Rockland Community College. He was a member since High School of the Sterling Forest Volunteer Fire Co. Derek will always be remembered as a ray of sunshine. May he continue in God's grace to shine upon us. He never had a malice bone in his body. God took him from us bodily, but in spirit, he lives on for all of us. He touched the hearts of many. Besides his parents, Derek is survived by his beloved brother, John W. The son of the late Roger Dwyer and Ellen Dolan Dwyer, he was born in the Bronx, NY on June 30, 1937. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Highland Mills, Knights of Columbus Council 2079 in Monroe, Ancient Order of Hibernians Cornwall Chapter in Cornwall, Orange County Chamber of Commerce. He was a former coach of the Monroe-Woodbury Little League and an avid New York Yankee Fan. Freeman, a prominent member of the Blooming Grove community, died June 16, 2005 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Horton Campus, Middletown, N.Y. Mr. Freeman was 84 years old. He was born July 25, 1920 to Richard P. Freeman and Mary M. Jackson Dixon. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth A. Dolson; six children: Amelia J. Fallen of Middletown, David L. Freeman of Blooming Grove, Belinda L. Hunter of Campbell Hall. Timothy Freeman of Newburgh, Cynthia G. Houston of Mountain Lodge Park, and Diane B. Freeman of Blooming Grove. He is also survived by his sister, Florence Williams of Newport News, Va. He also leaves behind 17 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was a retired dairy farmer in the Blooming Grove community. He drove a school bus in the Washingtonville school system for many years, and later drove for the Shortline Bus Company. He was a member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church in Washingtonville; and was affiliated with the church for most of his life. Graham, Alan Clark Alan Clark Graham, of Newburgh, passed away peacefully at home on June 15, 2005 at the age of 84. The son of Sidney and Estella Hall Graham, he was born November 12, 1920 in Herkimer, N.Y. He married Dorothy Buel on December 28, 1942. A decorated World War II veteran, he flew 20 combat missions in Europe as a B-24 pilot in the 66th Bombardment Squadron, 44th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force. He received a BA and MBA from Syracuse University and worked in business management for 41 years for the Atlantic Richfield Co., Africa Inland Mission, the Kings College and Senior Citizens Apartments in Bridgeport, Conn. He was a member of the American Legion Post #1420 in Newburgh, N.Y. Moving to Newburgh in 1966, Alan and his family have worshipped at Moulton Memorial Baptist Church for over 12 years and previously worshipped at Chapel Hill Community Church, Oak Street Baptist Church and Leptondale Bible Church. He served as a church deacon, church treasurer and sang in the choir. He lived and died a faithful witness to the saving grace of Jesus, and in service to man and God. His personal life verse was Philippians 1:21, "For to me is live is Christ, and to die is gain." Alan is survived by his wife, Dorothy; son, Alan Clark Graham Jr. and wife, Barbara; daughter, Jeanne Estella Graham; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, John and Larry; and two sisters, Virginia and Ina. Ted suddenly passed away on May 11, 2005 at his home in Elmont, N.Y. He was buried in St. John's Cemetery in Queens, N.Y. on May 16, 2005. Ted was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on June 17, 1974, the only son of Irene Muenze Matagrano, who predeceased him, and Theodore T. Matagrano. He was raised in Queens and spent his youth in Ridgewood. Upon the death of his mother, Irene, in 1988, he came to live with his godparents, Bill and Linda Bloom, and cousin, Bill, in Campbell Hall, N.Y. Ted attended Washingtonville High School and graduated in 1992. He was active in sports and was on the high school Wrestling Team; played Little League baseball; Big League Baseball; and CYO Basketball in Washingtonville. When Ted moved back to the city after graduating from Washingtonville High School, he tried many different jobs. He was a mechanic at his father's service station; he sold stocks; and finally settled into his job as a network technician for a company that does the computer work for the New York City Elementary School system. Ted is survived by his father, Theodore T. Matagrano; his stepmother, Laura; and his two younger sisters, Gabrielle and Brittany. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Emma Muenze; aunt, Linda Bloom; uncle, Bill Bloom; and cousin, Bill Bloom. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents and is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins on his paternal side. Ted had a joy for life as can be seen in the smile in his photo. He enjoyed life to the fullest, but it ended too soon for him. He will be deeply missed by all of us who got to know and love Ted. McGrath, Margo Formerly of Newburgh, N.Y. Margo McGrath died Wednesday June 15, 2005 in her home in Yulee, Fla. She was 68. A lifelong resident of Newburgh, she moved to Florida three years ago. She was the daughter of the late Patrick and Margaret Crudele. She is survived by her husband, Thomas McGrath of Yulee, Fla.; two sons, Thomas McGrath of Northampton, Pa., and Brian McGrath of Kerhonkson, N.Y.; one daughter, Margaret Greiner of Marlboro; two brothers, Michael Crudele of Campbell Hall, and Leland Crudele of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; two sisters, Sharon Crudele of Walden, and Alana Astolas of Highland; and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Patrick Crudele, Jr. and Mickey Crudele; and one sister, Inza "Lee" Crudele. There will be no visitation. McNeill, Lillian Rabe Lillian Rabe McNeill, a homemaker and resident of Chester since 1969, died Thursday June 16, 2005 at Elant at Goshen in Goshen, N.Y. She was 104. The daughter of J. Charles Rabe and Valerie Waldner Rabe, she was born September 8, 1900 in New York, N.Y. She was the widow of Dr. John F. McNeill. She is survived by her son, John F. McNeill, Jr. of Fayetteville, N.Y.; daughter, Carol M. Kirchheimer of New York, N.Y.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The funeral will be private and at the convenience of the family. Van Kleeck, a lifetime resident of Pomona, N.Y., died at Nyack Hospital on June 17, 2005 after a 10-month battle with cancer. He was 62. Claude was born in Suffern, N.Y. on October 27, 1942. He married Susan Mikuszewski in November of 1968 in Suffern, N.Y. Claude retired from the Town of Ramapo after serving as Dog Control for 30 years and as a Cruelty Agent for the SPCA for 25 years. Claude also served in the US Army from 1959 to 1961. His love for his family was only matched by his love for the outdoors. Claude was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending his summers at Lake Champlain. He also enjoyed woodworking, cooking, and playing cards. His zest for life should be a lesson to us all. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan of Pomona; his son, Claude Aaron, of Midland Park, N.J.; and sister, Gloria Jean Laupp of Washington State. Claude was predeceased by his mother, Marietta Coe Van Kleeck; his father, Burke H. Van Kleeck; and his brother Burke H. She was 44. The daughter of Robert H. and Nancy L. Barnes Riggs, she was born July 23, 1960 in Middletown, N.Y. Survivors include her mother, Nancy Riggs of Middletown; and her sons, Robert L. Walling and Gary H. Walling. She is also survived by her sisters, Frances Riggs of Middletown, and Della Riggs and her daughter, Nicole, of Middletown; and her longtime companion, Richard Appell; as well as several cousins, aunts and uncles.
