She was 100. The daughter of the late George and Adelia Peabody Cluett, she was born September 2, 1904 in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. In 1924 she married Martin Lee DuBois of New Paltz, the son of Philip and Rose DuBois. She came to live as a bride at the DuBois family homestead, built in 1836, on Butterville Road in New Paltz. She later settled in Boca Raton, Fla. and spent her years since 1978 at Abbey Delray in Delray Beach, Fla. Her only, much-loved child, who died in 2002, was Joanne DuBois, married to Thomas Ramsey. Lavinia's three grandchildren: Susan Ramsey, Paul Ramsey and Philip Ramsey survive her; as do her eight great-grandchildren. Her son-in-law, Thomas Ramsey and her nephew, Henry Lumb and his wife, Joan, also survive her. Lavinia was a graduate of New Paltz Normal School and was an experienced traveler. As an avid birdwatcher she kept life lists. She sang with the Songbirds group, and was an elegant hostess. Everyone who knew her will miss her gracious manner and many kindnesses. A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 23, 2005 at 3:00 PM at the New Paltz Rural Cemetery, 81 Plains Road. The Rev. Mance will officiate. She was 64 years old. The daughter of the late Mrs. Adeline Maddie Gentile, Joyce was born January 29, 1941 and raised in Ridgebury, N.Y. She was the beloved plant manager at Concept Packaging in Newburgh for the past 16 years, and previously at Occupations Inc. for 10 years. She was a relentlessly hard worker, and tried to teach others the meaning and value of work. As tough and as willful as she was, Joyce will forever be remembered for her enormous heart and her unending generosity. She made friends everywhere and was always there to help. She is widely and deeply loved. Her deep love for her dogs and all animals was also part of her wonderful nature. Joyce is survived by her best friend of 25 years, Marian O'Connor; her nephew Joseph Bills and his girlfriend Marie Grasso; her niece Joyce Ann Partridge; grandnephew Michael Partridge; and grandnieces Brianna Partridge and Cheyenne Bills. Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory. A memorial service will take place at a later date. Hadden, Maureen (Kohn) Maureen Hadden of Woodbourne, died Friday June 17, 2005 at Catskill Regional Medical Center after a long, hard fight with cancer. She was 45. The daughter of the late Berthold and Rosemarie Golbern Kohn, she was born June 16, 1960 in Astoria, N.Y. She was the widow of Gary Hadden. A family statement reads: "Maureen was an amazing mother to all. She loved her children dearly. She was a very strong fighter, and a courageous woman who battled cancer for a long time. Survivors include four sons: Richard, Charles and his companion, Kasey Rowen, and Nicholas Hadden, all at home, and Andrew Hadden of Florida; one daughter, Cassandra Hadden, also at home; and one sister, Eleanor McAuley of Long Island. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 22, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 Main Street, Woodbourne, N.Y. Maloney, Catherine Elizabeth Catherine Elizabeth Maloney, born October 23, 1920, the only child of Irish immigrants Mary Ann Larkin and Thomas Wallace, passed away peacefully at Community Medical Center, Scranton, Pa. on Saturday June 18, 2005. A lifelong resident of Middletown, she was the widow of Frances W. Maloney, to whom she was married for 61 years. Survived by three children Carol Ann Burroughs of Burlington, N.J., Joseph F. Maloney, his wife Mary Jayne of Scranton, Pa. and Thomas M. Maloney, his wife Susan of Anchorage, Alaska; five grandchildren, Michele Long of New Jersey, Stefanie Maloney, Matthew Maloney and Christopher Maloney all of Scranton, Sam Maloney of Anchorage; also four great-grandsons. Catherine attended Middletown Schools and was a graduate of Middletown State Hospital School of Nursing. She was employed at Horton Memorial Hospital for 37 years as a Registered Nurse. She was a lifelong parishoner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, a member of the third ward neighborhood watch and Horton Hospital's Retired Employee's Association. Morea, self-employed, R & M Box Co. in Brooklyn, died Sunday, June 19, 2005 at Clover Lakes Rehab in Staten Island, N.Y. He was 90. The son of Anthony Morea and Anna Cianeotta Morea, he was born June 5, 1915 in New York, N.Y. He was an Army Veteran of WW II. Naclerio, Andrew W. Andrew W. Naclerio, of Newburgh, a landscaper, died June 16, 2005 in Newburgh. He was 29. The son of Andrew W. Weygant and Theresa Ann Naclerio, he was born October 12, 1975 in Newburgh. Survivors include his parents Andrew W. Parker Sr., Robert Raymond Robert Raymond Parker, Sr., a retired police officer in the City of Newburgh and resident of New Windsor, died Thursday June 16, 2005 at home. He was 60. Son of the late Ernest Adams and Mattie Parker, he was born March 15, 1945 in Greenville, N.C. He was a member of Soul Saving Station in Newburgh, N.Y.; was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran; a Federal Police Officer; and he worked in the Bureau of Mints USMA at West Point, N.Y. He is survived by two sons, Jessie Bennett of Newburgh, and Robert Parker, Jr. and wife, Holly, of Montgomery; three daughters: Elizabeth Morgan Bennett and partner, Rodha, of Barre, Vt., Lowquanis Fowler and husband, Brian, of New Windsor, and Lizzette Parker of Newburgh; one sister, Hazel Mack of Virginia Beach, Va.; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews, many relatives and friends. Peter A. Piatkowski, 53, lost his battle with cancer on May 6, 2005 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Fla. He was born on April 19, 1952 in Trenton, N.J., and formerly resided in Hamilton and Tuckerton. He resided in Piseco for the past several years. Mr. Piatkowski was a U.S. Army Veteran. He worked for the Laborers International Union of North American, Local 17, Newburgh for the past 10 years. Previously, he worked for Local 172 in Bordentown, N.J. He was a member of the American Legion Hamilton Post 313 and a member of the Orange County, N.Y. Hog Chapter. He was an avid salt and freshwater fisherman, hunter and trapper. He is survived by his parents Alexander A. and Marie Hoffman Piatkowski of Cape Coral, Fla.; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas A. and Maggie of Cape Coral, Fla.; two daughters, Errin Verde and Ashley Bradley; a granddaughter, Helena Verde; a loving companion Doris CampoLongo; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. The son of the late Fortunato and Maria Orlando Rao, he was born June 14, 1937 in Prizzi, Italy. Together, Garry and his beloved wife, Connie, moved to the area from Brooklyn in 1994. He owned and operated a pizzeria in Florida, N.Y., called Garry's Pizzeria.
