Selma Binder, of Sturgeon Bay, WI, formerly of Ellenville, died at Ledge view Nursing Center on June 28, 2005. She was 91. Selma was born on May 18, 1914 in New Jersey, the daughter of the late Jack & Anne Tiffin Albert. On October 7, 1934 she married Irving Binder, he preceded her death on October 11, 2002. They lived in Ellenville for many years and then in Sarasota and Coral Springs, Fla. They also lived in Wausau and moved to Sturgeon Bay in 2001, where Selma was a member of the Association for Retarded Children, Women's American Ort, and a life-member of Hadassah and Deborah. She is survived by her son Jeffrey Robert Binder and his wife Jane of Sturgeon Bay; her two grandchildren, Jason Binder and his wife Linda of Wausau and Rachel May and her husband Douglas of Albuquerque, NM; and her four great-grandchildren Matthew Binder, Dayna, Paul and Zachary May. She is also survived by her halfsister, Norma Polls and her husband George of Brick, N.J. She was preceded by her brother Robert Albert. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 1 at 1 p.m. in Ezrath Israel Synagogue, Rabbi Eisner Square, Ellenville. Rabbi Moshe Frank will officiate. Frieda Clogston, of Rock Hill, S.C., passed away June 26, 2005 at home, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 67. The daughter of the late Otto F. W. Janke Sr. and Henrietta Janke, she was born February 26, 1938. She was a lifelong resident of the Town of Newburgh. She had retired after 45 years of service to the Math Department at West Point. She was preceded in death by her sister, Augusta Kurns and husband James of Kansas and her twin brother Fred of Greenville, S.C. She is survived by two brothers, Otto Janke and his wife Sherry of Newburgh and John Janke and his wife Jane of Cranston, R.I.; three sons, Donald, Jeffrey and his wife Michelle and their three children, Lisa, Jeffrey Jr. and Kasey and Steven and his wife Cherise all of Rock Hill, S.C. DeNoyelles of Highland Mills, N.Y. died on Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Cornwall, N.Y. He was 54. Lawrence was a Machine Operator for the Daimler Chrysler Corporation in Tappan, N.Y. and a lifelong area resident. He was born on December 9, 1950 to the late Lawrence and Margaret Smith DeNoyelles in Suffern, N.Y. Lawrence was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served during Vietnam. He was a member of Local #3039 of the United Auto Workers. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Helena E. DeNoyelles of Highland Mills, N.Y., a son, Craig DeNoyelles of Newburgh, N.Y., two daughters, Roxanne Ferranti of Milton, N.Y., and Jennifer DeNoyelles of Highland Mills, N.Y., a brother, Paul DeNoyelles of Sugar Loaf, N.Y., and several nieces and nephews. Garone, 87, of Clintondale, N.Y., passed away June 28, 2005 at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Ms. Garone was born in New York City on July 3, 1917, the daughter of Michael and Mary Labriola Garone. She was an administrator at IBM in Poughkeepsie until her retirement. Ms. Garone was a member of St. Charles R.C. Church in Gardiner and a member of the sewing circle of the Friends Church in Clintondale. She is survived by three sisters and many loving nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. Griffin Sr., Albert D. Albert D. Griffin, Sr., a 55-year resident of Newburgh, N.Y., died Friday, June 24, 2005 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh Campus. He was 64. Albert was born on January 6, 1941, in Columbia, S.C., the son of David A. Brown and Pearl G. Sutton. Albert worked in various departments of the United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y. He was a member of the Baptist Temple Church. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Darlene Griffin at home; loving parents, his mother, Pearl G. Sutton of Newburgh, and father, David A. Brown of Montclair, N.J.; five sons, Braynard R. Griffin and wife Lisa, Kenneth Verlon Griffin and fianc‚e Latoya Johnson, Kefee D. Griffin and fianc‚e Melinda Williams, all of Newburgh, Albert Lorelle Griffin of New Windsor, and Darryl S. Griffin and wife Theresa of Essex, Md.; one daughter, Cheri S. Mr. Hartmann grew up in Cochecton, N.Y. and made his home in Kenoza Lake, N.Y. for 34 years. He moved to Jekyll Island in 1995. Mr. Hartmann served in the U.S. Navy with the Pacific Fleet from 1957-1962. He was a retired Investigator with the New York State Police, with 28 years of service. Mr. Hartmann was a member of the Police Benevolent Association and was a former 30-year member of the Lions Club in Jeffersonville, N.Y. and Jekyll Island. He was a member of the Jekyll Island Men's Golf Association and was a Starter at the Jekyll Island Golf Club. He was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife, Barbara A. Hartmann, Jekyll Island; a son, Robert F. Hartmann, Westford, Ma.; a daughter, Judith H. Hoyle, Dunkirk, Md.; a sister, Helene Bennedum, Ballston Spa, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Anna C. Hartmann and Robert M. Hartmann, both of Westford, Ma. and Kathryn C. Hoyle, Dunkirk, Md. Tweddle died Thursday, June 23, 2005 in Grapevine, Texas after a short illness. She was 79 years old. The daughter of the late John Francis Chantrell and Ruetta Bloom Chantrell, she was born February 17, 1926 in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Harry V. Tweddle. She is survived by daughters Diana Aversano of Las Vegas, Nevada, Barbara Martin of Grapevine, Texas and Kay Seekamp of Albany, N.Y.; six grandchildren, John Scoza, Stephen Martin Jr., Christopher Martin, Brandon Martin, Christine Seekamp and Michelle Seekamp; and two great-grandchildren Austin Kade Martin and Tanner Christopher Martin; nieces and nephews.
