Frank E. Bennett of Ellenville, died Tuesday March 1, 2005 at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center. He was 83. The son of the late Palmer W. and Freda Berntz Bennett, he was born August 30, 1921 in Catskill, N.Y. Frank was a Corporal in the U.S. Army Air Force during the Vietnam War, where he received the American Service Medal, the EAME Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the Victory Medal. He was also a member of VFW Post 8959, and a past president of Scorsby. Survivors include his wife, Ruth, at home, whom he married on June 14, 1943; three children: Terry Bennett and his wife, MaryAnn, of Bloomingburg, Scott Bennett of Ellenville, and Kevin Bennett and his wife, Pat, of Ulster Heights; seven grandchildren: Nisa, Cory, Joseph, Christian, Brice, Jeremy and Amy Bennett; his devoted sister-in-law, Elizabeth Brunk, and her children; and several nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by one son, Thomas Bennett; one sister, Elizabeth Miller; and one brother, William Brunk. Bloom, Eugene "Gino" Eugene Gino Bloom, a self-employed owner operator of his own lawn maintenance business, died on February 28, 2005 in Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, N.Y. He was 75. Gino was born on March 19, 1929 in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of Lewis and Lena Bloom. He is survived by his wife, Rita Bartnoff Bloom, at home; his three step-children and five step-grandchildren. Bradley, a lifelong resident of Newburgh and retired Teamster, died March 2, 2005 at St. Luke's Hospital, Newburgh Campus. He was 91. The son of the late John and Isabella Cassidy Bradley, he was born June 29, 1913 in Newburgh, N.Y. He was the widower of Maude Berean Bradley and Evelyn Bradley. He was 90 years old. The son of the late Ellsworth and Florence Tarant Clark, he was born on June 31, 1914 in Brooklyn. A World War II Veteran, Kenneth proudly served his country in the US Army. Ken was an avid fan of baseball; he was an umpire for the Otisville Little League for 30 years. He also was a 40-year member of Holy Name Of Jesus Church in Otisville. A family statement reads, "Kenneth was a gentle person and loved by everyone. He was a true family man, gentle giant, and a baseball enthusiast." She was 58. The daughter of the late Edward Bowler and Janet Wilson Bowler, she was born September 11, 1946 in Newburgh, N.Y. A member of Telephone Pioneers of America, she was a certified clown, who volunteered throughout the area for various children's organizations, and was known as "Lady Di". She was 47. An 8-year resident of this area, she was born June 26, 1957 in Tokyo, Japan and formerly resided in Westerleigh, N.Y. Falck of Warwick, died March 1, 2005, at the Schervier Pavilion, Warwick, N.Y. She was 88 years old. Born on September 10, 1916 in Warwick, N.Y., she was the daughter of Edward and Della Higgins Wright. Mrs. Falck was a nurse's aide at Orange County Infirmary. She was formerly a secretary for the Town Supervisor. She served 19 years as a member of the Warwick School Board, and was a parishioner of St. Stephen's R.C. Church. Mrs. Falck lived her whole life at the Wright Farm, the home she was born in. She loved her family, her birds and her Yankees. Her smile always lit up the room. The son of the late John D. Gillespie and Grace Sweeney Gillespie, he was born August 20, 1928 in Dumont, N.J. He was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Korean Conflict. George was a former employee of the Grounds and Maintenance Division, US Military Academy, West Point. He was active for years in the Monroe-Woodbury Boosters Club and he was former president of Chester Riding Club, Chester. A family statement reads, "A devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be remembered for his kindness and wonderful sense of humor. Mrs. Henn was born in Plainfield, N.J. on August 21, 1954 to Michael and Mary Jo (Donohue) Markus. She resided in Plainfield before moving to Pine Island 17 years ago. Mrs. Henn was an accounting administrator for Thinc Management in Vernon. She graduated Kean College in 1976 with a BA Degree in Elementary Education and was presently attending Orange County Community College in Middletown, N.Y. studying to be a Med Tech. She was a member of the Glenwood Baptist Church in Glenwood, N.J. where she was active in the church's choir, handbell choir and also served as the church's financial secretary. Mrs. Henn was also a member of the Vernon Community Choir in Vernon and was a breeder of Yellow Labradors. Mrs. Henn was predeceased by her father, Michael M. Markus in 1988 and her mother, Mary Jo Markus in 2003. Daughter of the late Henry and Myra Hollister Bennett, Alice was born August 12, 1908 in Wilkes Barre, Pa. She was married to the late Carl Theodore Johnson, who predeceased her in 1967. Alice was a long time resident of Wilkes Barre, Pa. before moving to Newburgh in 1998 to be near her daughter Barbara. She was a member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Wilkes Barre for 96 years; was a member of Irem Temple Women's Auxiliary in Wilkes Barre, and was an avid Bingo and Pokeno player. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be dearly missed. Sagala Sr., Robert Joseph Robert Joseph Sagala Sr., an investigator for NYS Dept. of Motor Vehicles, Elmsford, N.Y., died Monday, February 28, 2005 at home. He was 60. The son of Michael E. Sagala and Margaret M. Denovich Sagala, he was born August 16, 1944 in Haverstraw, N.Y. He was a member Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church, Middletown; VFW, Greenville Post; American Legion; and the PBA. He was a US Army veteran, stationed in Korea for 2 years and he retired from law enforcement after 25 years of service. Robert was a police officer for 8 years, an auto theft investigator for the NYS Dept. of Motor Vehicles for 7 years and a fraud investigator for the Orange County Welfare Dept. for 7 years. A family statement reads, "Robert brought smiles to many faces throughout his life. Everyone who knew him admired his zest for life and his majestic personality. We are all better people for having him in our lives. Robert impressed upon us that life is short, therefore we must hold our families close to us and thank God every night for our blessings. Siegler, Dorothy Dorothy Siegler, a homemaker and resident of Newburgh, died March 1, 2005, at Golden Hill Health Care Center in Kingston, N.Y. She was 99. The daughter of the late Samuel and Sarah Levine, she was born May 5, 1905 in Poland. She is survived by one son, Marvin Siegler of Utica, N.Y.; one daughter-in-law, Roslyn Siegler; two grandchildren, Bonnie Humphries and Shari Kohon; and one great-grandson, Jesse Humphries. Smyth, a retired detective for the New York City Police Dept. 23rd Precinct, New York, N.Y., died Monday, February 28, 2005 at his residence. He was 82. The son of the late Thomas Smyth and Christina Stead Smyth, he was born May 18, 1922 in New York, N.Y. He was the widower of Alice C. Berwanger Smyth. He was a veteran of the US Navy and served during WW II. Survivors include his son, Robert J. Smyth of College Point, Queens; daughters, Lynn Alice Phillips and her husband William of Highland Mills, Susan Margaret Lisky and her husband Thomas of Mendham, N.J.; five grandchildren, Scott W. Viebrock, of Wallkill, N.Y., a retired Systems Operator for Avaya, Harriman, N.Y. and a 35-year resident of the area, died Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at home. He was 60. The son of the late Henry Viebrock and Hermine Unfried Viebrock, he was born March 14, 1944 in Yonkers. He served in the Army National Guard from 1962-1964. He was a member of the Early Ford V8 Club of Poughkeepsie, and the Oldsmobile Club of America. Survivors include his wife Lynn Viebrock of Wallkill, N.Y.; daughter Stacey L. Viebrock of Cooperstown, N.Y.; mother Hermine Viebrock of Millbrook, N.Y.; brother Ernest Viebrock and his wife Ann of Dover Plains, N.Y.; nieces and nephews He was predeceased by brother John Viebrock.
