Donald F. Bishop, a retired insurance salesman for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in Brooklyn, N.Y., and a three year resident of the area, died Tuesday March 22, 2005 at Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, N.Y. He was 79. Born May 11, 1925 in New Haven, Conn., he was the son of the late Jonathan Bishop and the late Helen Ferris Bishop. He was married to Patricia M. Cartusciello Bishop. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps and served during World War II and was a member of St. Joseph's Church in New Windsor. Survivors include his wife, Patricia M. Bishop of New Windsor; daughter, Donna M. Rivers and her husband, Andy, of Blooming Grove; brother, Raymond Bishop of Oakland, Calif.; sister, Dorothy Saunders of Burney, Calif.; one granddaughter, Jill Marie Andrews of Darien, Ill.; and also several nieces and nephews. Bonner, Elizabeth "Liz" Elizabeth "Liz" Bonner a Circleville, NY resident and formerly of Staten Island, died Friday, March 25, 2005 at Westchester Medical Center, after a long illness. She was 51 years old. The daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth Reilly McPadden, Liz was born October 20, 1953 in Staten Island, NY. She married Wayne on December 9, 1972 in Staten Island. Liz graduated from the College of Staten Island with an Associates Degree in Nursing. She worked at local hospitals. A family statement reads: "Our mother was a strong, courageous woman who showed no fear, always with a smile on her face. She always put others before herself and supported them despite her own difficulties. She took pride in being a Grammy to Riley Ann and Kailey Elizabeth. She was a best friend to us all, especially our dad, Wayne." Caren, a longtime resident of Monroe, passed away Thursday March 24, 2005 at Woodland Nursing Inn, Lafayette, Calif. She was 90. The daughter of Oscar and Bridget Kiely Armand, she was born August 21, 1914 in Mt. Hope, Westchester County, N.Y. She married Edward John Caren of Monroe in 1935. Together they raised three sons, Edward, Michael and Brian. She was a bookkeeper at Star Expansion in Mountainville, N.Y. and was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Monroe. Gamble, Kathleen J. Luft Kathleen J. Luft Gamble, of Pine Bush, died suddenly on Wednesday March 23, 2005, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was 38 years old. The devoted mother of four children, Kathleen was a lifelong resident of the area, growing up in Walden. One of eight children of the former Bonnie-Jane Walker and Neale M. Luft Sr., she attended Most Precious Blood School and graduated from Valley Central High School, Class of 1984. After high school, she attended Travel Industry Schools in the state of Florida. She is survived by her husband and best friend, James Christopher Gamble of Rock Tavern, whom she married on August 8, 1987; four children: Justin Mark, 16, Jamee Christina, 13, Katrina Ruth, 10, and Kelly Elizabeth, 8, and her beloved cat, Oliver; her mother, Bonnie-Jane Walker Miller and step-father, Clifford Miller, Jr. of Ocala, FL; her father, Neale M. Luft Sr. and Myrtle Findlay of Plant City, FL. She is also survived by her seven siblings: Austin Luft of Hereford, MD, Ruth Marie Lehman of Kent, WA, Margo O'Connell of Walden, Mark Luft of Cincinnati, OH, Michael Luft of Austin, TX, Mary Beth Wigboldy of Highland Falls, and Neale (Skip) Luft of Walden; 12 nieces and nephews; four stepbrothers: Clifford Miller of Cragsmore, Christopher Miller, James Miller and Matthew Miller, all of Walden; and five nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her in-laws, William L. and Eileen R. Gamble of Rock Tavern; brothers and sisters-in-law: William Gamble of Albuquerque, NM, Thomas and Heidi Gamble of Rock Tavern, Lillian "Dee Dee" Gamble and Margaret Pirozzi, along with seven nieces and nephews and one grandniece. Kathleen worked as a travel agent for the former Trotters' Travel Co. in Walden and Montgomery Travel in Montgomery. She also was a stage manager for Luftnell Productions, Inc. in Montgomery, specializing in musical entertainment and special events. Since 1999, Kathleen was the administrative assistant for L.M. Dulye & Co., a Warwick based consulting firm specializing in employee communications. She recently started her own company "Sewing by Kathleen". Kathleen was a cheerleading coach for MPB School, Walden, as well as the Pine Bush Youth Football league. She was co-leader and founder of the Cheerleading Organization of Pine Bush with Paula Divine and Mary Thomas of Pine Bush. She was the company seamstress and "Studio Mom" for the M.P.A.C.- Mitchell Performing Art Center in Pine Bush. She continually fostered her children's participation in the national and regional dance competitions and was a strong supporter of the arts. Most importantly, Kathy was a wonderful sister, phenomenal mother and incredible friend to so many people. She will always be greatly, greatly missed. Mc Crystal, of Warwick, died March 26, 2005 in Elant at Goshen. He was 90. Born in New York City on July 3, 1914, he was the son of William and Helen Killen Mc Crystal. He was married to the late Mary Grace Murphy. Mr. Mc Crystal was a Hotel Manager with San Carlos Hotel, NYC. He was a parishioner of St. Stephen's R.C. Church, Warwick. A family statement: "He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He will be sorely missed." Nash and the late Georgette Bozollo Nash, he was born March 15, 1952 in Jamaica, NY. Dennis was a member of the North Amityville Fire Company, where he served as chief from 1985-87. Russo, Dominick Francis "Dom-Bo" Dominick "Dom-Bo" Francis Russo, of Newburgh, a former carpenter for Heights Lumber and Miron Lumber and lifetime area resident, entered into rest Thursday, March 24, 2005 at the home of his daughter Barbara Ann in Wallkill. He was 82. Son of the late James and Barbara Russo, he was born November 12, 1922 in Cornwall. Dominick proudly served his country in the US Army. He was a member of Teamsters, a fireman of Middlehope Fire Dept., and a parishioner of St. Mary's Church. He was a loving and devoted husband of 60 years and a wonderful father, and will be fondly remembered for his love of gardening. White, 49, died unexpectedly on Thursday, March 24, 2005 in Fishkill, NY. Born in Concord, NH on August 21, 1955 to Webster W. White and Shirley Osgood White. He lived in Hillsborough, NH, Easthampton, MA and Middletown, NY before moving to Fishkill 25 years ago. James enjoyed his cottage on Pawtuckaway Lake in Nottingham, NH and divided his time among Fishkill and his co-op in Manhattan. He graduated from Middletown High School in 1974 and Orange County Community College. He was a Catering Captain with Glorious Food, Inc of New York City and performed professionally with the Winged Victory Singers, Lori Shayne and the Shayne Company, and on various films and TV dramas. He was a member of Actors Equity and the Screen Actors Guild. He recorded several CDs with Hummingbird Productions LLC. James is predeceased by his parents. He is survived by one brother, William W. White of Alameda, CA; three sisters: Wendy McClaflin of Easthampton, MA, Nan Vigars of Stratham, NH and Susan White of Nottingham, NH; by a close and caring friend, Raymond Smith of Fishkill, NY; and by several nieces and nephews.
