Albert Allen Rev. Albert Allen Attenborough, Jr., STD died on March 28, 2005. He was 79. Survived by his wife, Carolyn, their children, Victoria Johnson, Alexandra Pirard, Charlotte Dunaief, A. Andrew Attenborough, Benn Attenborough, their spouses, 10 grandchildren, and one brother, Richard. His tour in the Navy during WWII took him from Normandy to the Battle of Ormoc Bay where he survived the sinking of the destroyer USS Cooper. He and Carolyn were married in July 1952. He graduated Temple University Seminary and was ordained in 1953. In 1961, He earned his STD in Pastoral Psychology. Before moving to NYS, he served churches in Pennsylvania, and NJ. He retired after 27 years with Rockland Psychiatric Center serving as chaplain and later Mental Health Treatment Team Leader. He also served the Episcopal Diocese of NY as interim pastor for various churches in Orange and Rockland Counties. He celebrated the 50th anniversary of his ordination December 19, 2003. He and Carolyn moved to Cornwall and have attended St. John's Cornwall. Viewing will be at Quigley Bros. Bragg, Florence Realmuto Florence Realmuto Bragg of Wurtsboro, a resident since July of 1997, previously of Florida and Highland, NY, died March 28, 2005 at home. She was 84. The daughter of George Realmuto and Frances Lo Casio, she was born August 26, 1920 in Highland, NY. She married George A. Bragg on March 31, 1940 at St. Augustine Church in Highland. She was a charter member of the America Legion Lloyd Post 193 Ladies Auxiliary in Highland and was a member of the Schoria County America Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, George A. Bragg who survives at home in Wurtsboro; two daughters, Nancy J. Rich of Marlboro, NY and Linda Lee Stueber of Highland, NY; one brother, George A. Realmuto and his wife Loretta of Highland; grandchildren: Robert Rich and wife, Dawn, Mikki Lynn Judge, George Rich and Heidi Stueber, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many friends. He was 73. The son of the late William E. and Wilamina Frank Clausen, he was born November 15, 1931 in Nescopeck Pennsylvania. He served in the Army during Korean Conflict. Bill had also worked as counselor in Pennsylvania before moving to this area. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Walden And the Gideons. She was 89. The daughter of Frederick Prochazka and Agnes Vajgl Prochazka, she was born September 7, 1915 in Durlandville, NY. She was married to the late Joseph R. Grohoski. She was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Goshen; an Elder in the First United Presbyterian Church, Florida, NY; former Grange member. Her education started in a two-room school in Durlandville, NY. She graduated S.S. Seward Institute, Florida, NY, went on to the Normal School in Farmingdale, NY; began her teaching career in a two-room school house on Lower Road in New Hampton and later she returned to teaching in the Goshen School District. She obtained her Associates Degree from Orange County Comm. College, Middletown, NY. Agnes retired from the S.S. Seward institute, Florida, NY. Agnes was also active in the family produce operation in Goshen. Survivors include two sons: William F. Grohoski and his wife Katherine Fahn of Goshen, Lee M. Grohoski and his wife Frances of Lodi, NY; daughter, Geraldine (Gerie) Dunn of Middletown; two sisters, Marie Vavricka of New Hampton and Eugenia Duffy of South Salem, NY; four grandchildren, Jason and Joseph E. Mrs. Hastings was born on October 20, 1913 in New York City to Francis and Catherine Reilly. She married Charles A. Hastings on October 16, 1948 at St. Josephs Church in Spring Valley. Charles died in 1975. Mrs. Hastings worked as a line worker for Avon Products in Suffern for over 20 years, where she was a member of the Avon sewing circle. She also worked at The Good Samaritan Hospital for 15 years and was a member of Sacred Heart Church. Mrs. Hastings is survived by two loving children: Kathleen Guattery and her husband Jim of Middletown, NY and Charles F. Hastings and his wife Muriel of Doylestown, PA. Landry, Sister Mary Sister Mary of the Cross Landry, OP, passed away Monday, March 28, 2005 in the Siena Hall Infirmary of the Dominican Sisters of Hope in Newburgh, NY. The daughter of Joseph Emery Landry and Marie Annette Pinard Landry, she was born in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada in 1907. Sister received her early education in Quebec, Canada. Upon visiting in Fall River, MA, she became acquainted with the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Siena at Park St, Fall River. Three years later in January 1929, she entered their novitiate, made her First Profession August 1930 and her final Profession in August 1934. Sister received her teacher training at Sacred Heart College in Fall River and Music training from Pius X School of Liturgical Music in New York City, NY. Her ministries included elementary school teaching in Saint Anne in Fall River, MA, Saint Francis, Acushnet, MA, Saint Augustine, Peru, NY and Saint Philippe, Quebec, Canada. One of her most cherished works was directing school choirs and teaching art. In 1980 she retired to Saint Catherine's Convent, Park Street, Fall River, MA and in May 2002 she became a member of the Siena Hall Infirmary in Newburgh, NY. Her parents and two brothers, Pierre and Arthur Landry and five sister, Lucienne, Juliette, Cecile, Isabelle and Germaine predeceased Sister. The son of Oscar and Dora Decker McEwen, he was born in Pine Bush, N.Y. on June 30, 1914. He was the widower of Beulah Utter McEwen. He retired as an area manager for Agway Products, Middletown. He is survived by his two sons, Wayne McEwen and his wife Susan of Middletown, and Terry McEwen of Rocky Hill, CT; two daughters Linda Grogan and her husband Daniel and Jill Areson and her husband David all of Middletown; three sisters Lillian Schoonmaker of Pine Bush, and Jeanette Williams and her husband Robert of Kingston and Marrietta Gibitz of Scotia; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
