Richard J. Balthazor of the hamlet of Wallkill, NY, a retired Lance Corporal from the United States Marine Corp short time resident of the area died Friday, April 29, 2005, in Wallkill. He was 31. The son of Garth David and Sheryl Kay Ricklefs Balthazor, he was born February 12, 1974 in Orange California. He served in the the United States Marine Corps until his medical discharge. Richard was also a certified EMT. A family statement reads: "He loved being Daddy. He loved music and was a talented singer and songwriter." Survivors include his parents, Garth David and Sheryl Kay Balthazor of Murrieta, CA; son Patrick Balthazor of Springville, UT; son Ammon Balthazor of Springville, UT; daughter Ryan Balthazor of Savannah, GA; fiance Morgan Hollis and her son Eric Hollis of Savannah, GA and close friends Dave, Whitey & Paul. A memorial service with military honors will be Wednesday May 4, 2005 at 3pm Reverend James Van Houten will officiate. Cremation will be in Cedar Hill Crematory in Newburgh, NY. Fox, Kenneth Tillson Kenneth Tillson Fox, a driver for Mahogany Ridge Limousine Service in LaGrange and resident of the area for many years, died Saturday, April 30, 2005 in the Town of Plattekill. He was 39. The son of Randall W. Fox and Carol Ann Cole, he was born July 1, 1965 in Newburgh. He was in the US Navy and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was active in church and Sunday school groups and baseball. He enjoyed family gatherings. Survivors include his wife Diane Mallon Fox of Marlboro; father Randall W. Fox of Gardiner; mother Carol Ann Tice of Plattekill; sons, Michael and Matthew Fox both of Marlboro; sister, Edith Roberts of Gardiner; brothers, Matthew Fox of Alaska and Byron Fox of Gardiner; stepfather Addison Tice of New Paltz; stepmother Diana Fox of Hyde Park; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, May 5 at Memorial United Methodist Church of Modena, Route 44/55, Modena. The Rev. David Mantz will officiate. Burial will be in Modena Rural Cemetery in Modena. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciated contributions be made to his children or to help them with expenses. Bernice T. Hensz, a life-long area resident, and retired co-owner of Hensz's Garage, Port Jervis, NY, died April 30, at her home. She was 88. The daughter of the late Joseph and Mae Flood Johnson, she was born August 28, 1916 in Queens, NY. She was married to the late John M. Hensz. She was a former Brownie and Girl Scout Leader for Port Jervis, former Den Mother for Port Jervis Cub Scouts; member of Catholic Daughters Court Madonna # 114, Port Jervis. Bernice and her late husband were avid snowmobilers and enjoyed many trips to the Adirondacks with their friends to go snowmobiling. Survivors include one son, John M. Hensz, Jr. and his wife, Linda of Milanville, PA; two daughters, Mary Stevens of Port Jervis and Ann Miglionico and her husband Joseph of Thousand Oaks, Calif; 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday, evening, May 4 at 7 p.m. at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis. Rev. Robert E. Foster officiating. Interment will be private. Quick of Wawarsing, a life long resident, and a lawn maintenance worker for Bruce Quicks Lawn Mowing, died April 28, 2005 in Wawarsing. He was 20. The son of Bruce and Ruth Jurta Quick, he was born December 28, 1984 in Kingston. He attended St. Marks United Methodist Church, Napanoch and was learning to be a taxidermist. Survivors include his parents at home; two brothers, Bruce Quick of Wawarsing and Brian Turner of Phillipsport; three sisters, Jenniffer Wojcik of Wawarsing, Barbara Gibson of Wawarsing and Courtney Quick at home, several aunts, uncles and a host of friends also survive. Vradenburgh, Eleanor Wagner Eleanor Wagner Vradenburgh, a housewife and resident of Beacon, NY, died April 30, 2005 at Fishkill Health Related Center, Beacon, NY. She was 82. The daughter of Perry Raymond Weeks and Mary Alice Creighton, both deceased, she was born December 4, 1922 in Beacon, NY. She was the widow of Merle Leroy Wagner and Howard Vradenburgh Sr. She is the mother of Merle Perry Wagner and his wife Edith of Lititz, PA and Helen Marion Warren of Port Jervis. Also seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews survive. Final disposition will be private and at the convenience of the family by the DiDonato Funeral Home, Marlboro. Walter, 84, of Treasure Island, FL, died on Saturday, April 30, 2005, at Boca Ciega Center in Gulfport, FL. Born in Newark, NJ, he was a son of the late, Joseph C. and Anna R. (Schuler) Walter. He came to Treasure Island, FL in 1980 from Warwick, NY. He was owner/operator of Walter Equip. Co located in Warwick. He served in the Navy during WW II. He was a member of VFW Post #4662, a Charter member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla, a Fourth Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus, all of Warwick; a former Warwick Councilman; a Charter member and Past Captain of Amity Volunteer Fire Company, Past President of Raymond Hose Company, and Honorary member of the Highland Engine Company - Florida, NY; Past President of Orange County Peace Officers Association, and a member of American Legion Post 158 - Treasure Island, FL. He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth (Davenport) Walter and brother, Joseph C. Walter Jr. He is survived by a son, Joe Walter, Warwick, NY; a daughter, Susan Black, St. Petersburg, FL; a granddaughter, Laura Walter, New York; three grandsons, Thomas and Peter Walter, both from NY, and Dennis Black, FL.
