She was 83. The daughter of the late Reverend Marston W. Williamson, Sr. and Annie Maude Royal Williamson, she was born March 14, 1922 in Warsaw, N.C. A homemaker, she was a member of Pentecostal Holy Joy Church in Modena, N.Y., and also President of Mother's Board and a member of Missionary. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Alex Murphy Blue, at home; two daughters, Christine Alfonso and husband, Robert, of Northvale, N.J., and Maplelean Blue of Nyack, N.Y.; and two grandsons, Darryl and Brian Alfonso, both of Northvale, N.J. She is also survived by Hester Morrisey, Julia M. Mathis and Phobe O'dell Kelly Williamson; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and many friends. Carieri, Robert Anthony Robert "Bob" Carieri, a longtime Bloomingburg resident and salesman for G.E, died unexpectedly on Saturday, May 7, 2005. He was 64 years old. The son of the late James and Amelia Cammarota Carieri, Bob was born on October 15, 1940 in New York, N.Y. Bob received his business degree from Fordham University, and was a regional salesman for 37 years for General Electric in N.J., retiring in 2001. Bob has been a longtime resident of the area since 1968, moving here from the Bronx, and married the former Lynne Langion in 1981. Bob was an active member of the Wurtsboro H.O.G., and chaired many cancer runs benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. A family statement reads "In whatever he did, he gave all of himself, leaving a lasting impression on all who met him." She was raised in Spring Valley and has been a resident of Westbrookville for 14 years. During World War II, she worked as a secretary for the Submarine Signal Company in New York City. After her marriage, besides being a loving wife and mother, she assisted her husband Mario in his engineering and contracting business. She was a member of St. Francis of Rome and Our Lady of Grace in New York City, the Church of the Presentation in Upper Saddle River, N.J. and Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Obernburg, N.Y. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was the beloved wife of Mario Matri. They celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary April 10, 2005. Angelo and Concetta came to the United States from Italy in 1968 to be closer to their family. Angelo was a Furniture Refinished for John Turano and Sons from 1968-1971 when in 1971 he opened Angelo?s Pizzeria in Vails Gate and remained in business until 1988 when he retired. Shands, Gail Gail Shands, a 10-year resident of Wappingers Falls, and bus driver for Beacon School District, died Thursday, May 5, 2005 at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie. She was 43. The daughter of Tommie Shands and the late Georgia Eva, she was born October 21, 1961 in New York City, N.Y. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church, Wappingers Falls and a drummer for their church choir. Survivors include her father, Tommie Shands and wife Mona of Deer Park, L.I., N.Y.; loving and caring aunt, Shirley Mills of Wappingers Falls; three brothers, Thomas Shands and wife Diane of Dingy Ferry, Pa., Jackie Shands and wife Joyce of Hempstead, L.I., N.Y. and Haywood Shands and wife Melinda of Toledo, Ohio; four sisters, Janette Shands Mitchell and husband James of Louisburg, N.C., Debra Shands of Queens, N.Y., Cassandra and Sabrina Shands both of Deer Park, L.I., N.Y.; several nieces, nepehws and many relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Thursday, May 12 at Springfield Baptist Church, 8 Mattie Cooper Square, Beacon. Services will begin at 12 noon.
