Ethel E. Budd of Spring Glen, a lifelong resident and a homemaker, died May 24, 2005 in Orange Regional Medical Center. She was 95. The daughter of Frederick William and Julia Emily Perry Lang, she was born May 30, 1910 in Hawley, Pa. She was the widow of Harry Budd. Ethel attended the Circleville Evangelical Church. Survivors include her children: Herbert Budd of Okeechobee, Fla., Carl Budd of Napanoch, Eddie Budd of Spring Glen, Joyce Haener of Wallkill, Harry Budd of Montgomery, and Howard Budd of Ellenville; her sister, Lillian Hennessey of Matamoras, Pa.; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive. The daughter of the late Peter and Gladys Nelson Rodak, she was born February 25, 1939 in Peekskill, N.Y. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Newburgh. Constantine "Connie" Heter, of Thomasville, N.C., formerly of Florida, N.Y., entered into rest May 16, 2005 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Salisbury, N.C. He was 80. The son of Peter and Catherine Sosler Heter, he was born March 26, 1925 in Florida, N.Y. He was a retired postal service employee. Constantine was also a WW II Army veteran. He was married on Dec. 24, 1947 to Sara Olean Clodfelter. Survivors include his wife Sara at home; three sisters, Jean DeBella of Chester, Eleanor Kazar of Circleville and Theresa Russo of New Windsor; three brothers, Carl Heter of Florida, Benny Heter of State of Florida and Eddie Heter of Tarboro, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews. Horowitz, the former owner and operator along with his late wife Helen Drucker Horowitz, of the Melbourne Hotel on Briggs Highway in Ellenville and a former supervisory Masgiach for the Concord Resort Hotel in Kiamesha Lake overseeing the hotels Kashruth, died on Thursday, May 26, 2005 in Kingston Hospital. He was 85. Mort was born in Brooklyn on June 10, 1919, the son of Max and Bertha Hauser Horowitz. He was a World War II Army Air Corps Veteran, and a member of Congregation Ezrath Israel in Ellenville, and a member of Jewish War Veterans. He is survived by his wife Rita Freedman Zeides Horowitz at home in Ellenville, his son Jeffry Horowitz of South Nyack, his daughters Karen Aaron Braverman of Teaneck, NJ and Paula Weisfield of Brooklyn, his 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Rizzo, Margaret Ann Margaret Ann Rizzo, of Middletown, a registered nurse at Orange Regional Medical Center, Horton Campus for 35 years, died Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at home surrounded by her family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 60. The daughter of the late Ralph and Rose Caramella Abbate, she was born May 26, 1944 in Mt. Vernon, N.Y. A family statements reads, "Margaret dedicated her life to her family and to nursing; training other colleagues and caring for those in need. She was an extraordinary woman whose life had a profound impact on those she touched." Smith, Raymond Raymond Smith, of the Town of Newburgh, age 90, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 24, 2005 at the Hudson Valley Nursing Home. He was born August 10, 1914 to John and Melissa McConnell Smith. He was an avid gardener and his art talent became a hobby. He readily gave a helping hand to those in need. Stratton, Vincent Homes Vincent Holmes Stratton, 96 years old, a retired carpenter of South Fallsburg, and Pembroke, Mass., died on Tuesday, May 24, 2005 after a short period of declining health. He was the son of Rienzie Holmes Stratton and Margaret Hancock Stratton and was predeceased by his beloved wife Millicent Hatch Stratton and his brothers and sisters. Survivors include his niece, Linda Hatch and Michael Moloney of Pembroke, Mass.; great-nieces, Kalen Dow Wolfe of Jericho, Vt. and Lindsay Dow of Waterbury, Vt.; nephew Francis Stratton, Eugene Stratton, and great-nephew, Perry Stratton all of South Fallsburg. Mr. Stratton was a lifelong resident of South Fallsburg and prided himself in the fact that he built the home in which he lived with his wife. He was an avid gardener, loved the outdoors, especially fishing. For years he volunteered his services to maintain the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church property. He was proud of his military service during World War II in Tunisia, North Africa, Foggia, Central Europe including Naples, Rome and Arno, Italy, Rhineland, Germany and Southern France. He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local Union #19. He was born December 8, 1937 in Port Jervis, N.Y., the son of the late Wilton L. and the late Elizabeth Hulse Tidd. Chester loved his home, family, fishing and especially listing to Bob-O In The Morning radio show. Surviving are three brothers: Ralph 'Dougie' Tidd, Harry Tidd & his wife, Andrea and William Tidd & his wife, Candance all of Port Jervis; five sisters: Susie Hughson, Shirley Martin, Arlene Guellich, Linda Edwards and Rhonda Stevenson & her husband, Mike all of Port Jervis; brother-in-law: Mike Myers of Port Jervis; sister-in-law: Janet Tidd of Port Jervis. Sam Israelski, son of Dora and Ignace Israelski is survived by his wife Shery, 3 sons, Ira, Dennis, and Ron, their wives, 8 grandchildren, and his sister Sally. He was born in Wloclawek, Poland on January 23, 1925. Of his seven family members only he and his sister Sally survived the Holocaust. From 1939 - 1945 Sam survived as a slave in labor and extermination camps. After the liberation, Sam married Shery Pollak and immigrated to the U.S. He worked his way up from menial jobs to becoming president of Vallerie Sportswear. He raised three sons two of whom are physicians and one a special education administrator who later joined his dad in business. Sam was a true humanitarian who dedicated his life to philanthropic endeavors. Sam loved this country so much and helped bring other families from Europe and Israel to America enabling them to realize the American dream. A truly great man who touched so many lives.
