He was born to Giacomo and Anna Zarola Anania on May 2, 1930 in Curinga Catanzaro, Italy. On August 20, 1960, he married his beloved wife Catherine Denisi whom he had met in their hometown of Curinga. She predeceased him on March 27, 1982. Joseph was a Carabinieri, the equivalent of the Italian State Police until he moved to the U.S. in 1960. After moving, he was employed by Dubet Manufacturing, Luna Bakery and Joe's Pizza for many years. Also, he was an usher and active parishioner of St. Francis Church in Newburgh. The family statement reads, "Joe was well-known for his walks to the Newburgh Mall and for his social nature, Singing and Whistling. He loved to talk and adored all children. We would joke that he was so popular, he could be elected mayor. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him but, especially by his children and grandchildren. We take comfort in knowing he is reunited with his wife whom he has missed so much over the years." He is survived by sons, James Anania and his wife Eileen of Cooperstown, N.Y. and their children, Catherine, Victoria, James and Isabella, Vincent Anania and his wife Marie and daughter Emily all of Yorktown, Va; one bother, Vinanzo; two sisters, Giovanna and Maria; his in-laws, John and Vickie Miller, Dominick and Karen Denisi, Vincent and Pamela Denisi and Sebastian and Sue Denisi. Also many nephews and nieces in Newburgh and Italy. He was predeceased by a brother Antonio and a sister Elonara both of Italy. His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 10 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Church in Newburgh. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in New Windsor. Bosch, Hilda Hilda Bosch, of Marlboro, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2005 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh. She was 85. Daughter of the late Nicholas and Rita Garcia, she was born on April 13, 1920 in Puerto Rico. She married was married to Octavio Bosch for 56 years, who survives at home. A family statement reads, "Hilda was a devoted, wife, mother and grandmother, and she loved being surrounded by her family." In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Joaquin Maldonado, Miriam Fuentes and Ruth Cortes; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ruth worked for her dear friend, Dr. William Howley in Newburgh for several years. DeLessio, a retired clerk from the City of Newburgh Police Department, died Sunday, November 6, 2005 at St. Luke's Hospital, Newburgh. She was 68. The daughter of Adam and Dorothy E. Baehm Sweikata, she was born September 16, 1937 in Goshen Hospital. Gail grew up in Montgomery and moved to Newburgh after marriage. She had been a Girl Scout and Cub Scout mother, a member of the former Union Grove School PTO, classroom mother and chaperone of many class trips through NFA. She taught cooking club for one year at Union Grove. She worked as a proof reader for the former Stewart Citizen before that newspaper moved from Newburgh. Mrs. DeLessio enjoyed painting with water colors, cooking and eating, crocheting, sewing, computer games, taking care of her plants, playing the piano and reading trashy mystery stories. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother. She was a very caring person with a great sense of humor. Survivors include her husband, John P. Jacob Goldberg, a retired NY City Police officer and longtime area resident, died on Sunday, November 6, 2005 at Catskill Regional Medical Center. He was 83. Jacob was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on May 29, 1922, the son of the late David and Celia Berkowitz Goldberg. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran. He is survived by his two sons: Alvin Leibowitz and his wife Kathy of Washingtonville and David Goldberg and his wife Barbara of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; his three daughters: Diane King of Monticello, Ruth Charnow of New Jersey and Arlene Morin of North Carolina. Imholz Jr., William F. William F. Imholz Jr., a lifetime resident of Middletown, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2005 at Orange Regional Medical Center at Horton. He was 79. Born in Middletown on November 9, 1925, he was the son of William F. and Norah Agnes Murray Imholz Sr. He served in the Army Air Corps during WW II. He retired as President of the LeRoy W. Horton Agency Inc., Middletown and was employed as a security guard for Orange County Community College. Bill was a communicate of Our Lady Mt. Carmel Church, a 59-year member of the McQuoid Engine and Ladder Company #3, a member of the American Legion Post 151, The Knights of Columbus Council #486, B.P.O.Elks Lodge 1097 and was a lifetime member of the Orange County Golf Club, Middletown. He is survived by his wife Betty J. Horton Imholz; his son William H. Imholz and his wife Kimberly; two grandsons William T. Imholz and Bryce A. Kisco, died on November 5, 2005. She was born in Middletown on July 24, 1950 to Daniel and Edythe O'Brien. She is survived by her daughter, Tara McMahon of New York City; mother, Edythe O'Brien of Rye Brook, N.Y.; and sister, Jane O'Brien of Washington, D.C. Barbara was an elementary school teacher since 1973 and taught at Heathcote Elementary in Scarsdale, N.Y. for the past 20 years. O'leary, Sister Julia Sister Julia O'Leary (formerly, Sister Miriam Thomas O'Leary) of the Dominican Sisters of Hope, died Monday, November 7, 2005 in Siena Hall, the Infirmary of the Dominican Sisters of Hope, Newburgh. She was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Julia Anne Egan O'Leary. She was born December 31, 1921 in Gloucester City, N.J. and was predeceased by a brother, Thomas O'Leary. Sister entered the Dominican Sisters of Newburgh Novitiate in 1942, made first profession, June 18, 1944 and Final Profession August 25, 1949. Sister received her early education at St. Mary School and Gloucester Catholic High School, Gloucester City, N.J. She earned a BS in education from Villanova University, an MA in history for Niagara University and and MS in sociology from Illinois Institute of Technology. Her ministries included elementary school teaching at Saint Mary School, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; St. Lawrence School, Lindenwold, N.J.; Our Lady of Lourdes School, Paterson, NJ.; and she was principal at St. Thomas School, Cornwall, N.Y. She also taught in secondary schools at Our Lady of Lourdes, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; St. Michael's, NYC and was principal of Western Catholic Primary School, Greenwich, Conn. From 1980 to 1994, Sister was principal of Holy Rosary School, Hawthorne, N.Y. From 1994-1995, she was an administrative assistant for the Dominican Sisters of Hope in Ossining and from 1995-1999, she was a substitute teacher at St. Augustine School in Ossining, then retired to do volunteer work at Mariandale, Ossining, N.Y. In February 2005, Sister moved to Siena Hall at the Center of Hope in Newburgh, N.Y. Sister is survived by her sister-in-law, Claire O'Leary; an niece, Claire; a nephew, Thomas O'Leary; and several cousins. Tyson, age 64 of Forked River, N.J., died on Sunday November 6, 2005 at Community Medical Center, Toms River, N.J. Mr. Tyson was born in Stonehaven, Scotland and came to the United States in 1966, he resided in Manahawkin, N.J. and in El Paso, Texas, moving to Forked River, N.J. in 1992. He was a Confectionery Engineer last working as Vice President of Kalport Food Packaging of Port Jervis, previously he worked for Tootsie Roll Corp, Charms Corp and Crystal Pure Corp. He was a founding member, coach and referee for the Stafford Soccer Club of Manahawkin. Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Nancy (nee Gray); one son Raymond Jr. of El Paso; one daughter Fiona Roberts of Forked River; two brothers Derek and Alan, both of Scotland; and one sister Elizabeth Alexander of Australia. White, James "Frank" James "Frank" White, age 72, of Pleasant Mt., Pa. formerly of Newburgh, died unexpectedly on Friday, November 4, 2005. He is survived by his wife Constance White. Frank was born in Pleasant Mt., Pa., the son of the late Thomas and Frances Dix White. He graduated from Pleasant Mount High School and served in Germany in the United States Army during the Korean War. Frank worked for IBM for 42 years as an engineering scientist and continued his education while employed by IBM. Frank was a charter member and vice-president of the Pleasant Mount Historical Society. He was a member of the Costello Monahan Brown Post 964 American Legion of Pleasant Mount and currently vice commander of the post. In September of this year he was inducted into the Wayne County Sports Hall of Fame. Frank was an active volunteer at the Pleasant Mount Community Center and enjoyed restoring antique cars.
