The son of Lillian Albano and the late Archibald Baxter, he was born April 13, 1940 at home. He worked for the town of Plattekill in the late 60s and early 70s. He also worked for Laidlaw Bus Co. in Poughkeepsie, as a flagger for Carroll Temp and for Kenny Birsal Farms in Plattekill. Survivors include his mother, Lillian Albano Baxter-Anchrom; son George W. and Karen Baxter Jr. of Plattekill; daughter Carrie L. Baxter of Plattekill; brother Joseph Baxter of Highland; sister Judith Baxter of Plattekill; grandchildren, Hannah Baxter, Jason Gonzalez and MaryAnn Baxter of Plattekill; several aunts, uncles and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother Albert Baxter; sister Jeannie Baxter; granddaughter Anastasia Potter in March 2004; father Archibald Baxter. Marilyn "Pinky" Calangelo, a retired billing clerk of Livingston Manor, died suddenly on November 15, 2005 at Catskill Regional Medical Center. She was 69. Beloved mother of Margaret Roberts and her husband Harold of Livingston Manor; Martha Kluge and her husband John of Greenwood, La.; Kathy Simmons and her husband Terry of Livingston Manor; Ann Marie Dennis and her companion Scott Conley of Roscoe; Peter Calangelo and his wife Janet of Narrowsburg and Anthony Calangelo and his companion Linda Dano of Syracuse. She was Nana to Erin Marie Roberts and Jessie Simmons of Livingston Manor; Claire King and Kristin McAloney of Greenwood, La.; Brendon and Adrianna Calangelo of Narrowsburg and one more grandchild to come in April. He was 86. Son of the late William and Elizabeth Simpson Kilpatrick, he was born on November 5, 1918 in Newburgh. Walt lived on South St while he lived in Newburgh, and was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church. Walt loved to work on gardens and was very good at it. He loved his mother so much, whenever he had a special flower or plant, he made sure he gave it to his mom. When he married, he moved to Connecticut and worked for Pratt Whitney working with planes until serving his country during World War II in Germany. Bernie was 69 years of age. The son of the late Charles M. Lorgan and Helen Ritzel, he was born on April 22, 1936 in Port Jervis. Bernie was a 51-year member of Walton Engine & Hose Company, Chester; past captain of Chester Fire Police; past president of O.C.V.F.P. Association; Sergeant at Arms of OCVF Association; member of NYSVFP Association; life-member VFW Post 8814; Special Deputy of O.C. Sheriff's Department; Ancient Order of Hibernians, Joseph Duelk, Jr., Division 1, Monroe; and a Veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean Conflict. Titolo, Elda Marcolina Elda Marcolina Titolo, a resident of Highland Falls for most of her life, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, November 15, 2005. She was 83. She was born April 4, 1922 to Angelo and Maria Rosa Marcolina and raised in Fornasate, Italy, a small and picturesque northeast village. Elda arrived in the United States as a teenager along with family members and eventually settled in Highland Falls. At the age of 35, Elda returned to Italy and on June 29, 1957 married her predeceased husband, Leo A. Titolo in Padua, Italy. Elda retired from the United States Military Academy, West Point, N.Y. after 30 years of service as a seamstress. A family statement reads: "Mom, you departed too soon and too suddenly. We will continue to love you and think of you every day as we always have." Survivors include sons: James Anthony Titolo and his wife, Kim of Highland Falls, John Leo Titolo and wife Barbara, of Kinnelon, N.J.; grandchildren: James Anthony, Leo Ottavio, John Henry and Julia Jeanne Titolo; many nieces and nephews; and many, many friends. Mrs. Uliczny was born in Brooklyn on August 27, 1913, the daughter of Steven and Frances Tomaszewski Dziemian. She was the widow of John Uliczny. She retired as a Restauranteur at Helen's Luncheonette and Restaurant, Brooklyn and was a communicate of Our Lady Mt. Carmel Church in Middletown. She was also a member of the Order of the Brown Scapular. She is survived by her sister-in-law Pauline Dziemian and two nephews Henry Dziemian and Adam Dziemian all of South River, N.J. Wanamaker, Richard "Rippy" Richard "Rippy" Wanamaker, a lifelong resident of Nyack, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2005 after a brief illness. He was 59. He was born in Nyack to Harry and Ann Wanamaker on April 11, 1946. Rippy was the loving father of Wendy McDonagh of Valley Cottage, N.Y., Cynthia (Tom) Norton of Cornwall-on-Hudson and Stephanie (Dan) Ulrich of Pearl River, N.Y. Rippy adored his seven grandchildren, Connor, Trevor, Brendan, Tristan, Annie, Taylor and his newest grandson Daniel Richard. He is also survived by his two brothers, Harry and wife Lynne and Roy; his sister, Maryanne and husband Bob; many uncles and aunts; and many very special cousins and friends who were very close to him. He was predeceased by his parents; a brother Charles; and his son-in-law John McDonagh. Rippy was a graduate of Nyack High School and served his country in Vietnam from 1966 to 1967 in the 128th Assault Helicopter Co. He was also the recipient of the Purple Heart. Rippy recently retired after many years of dedicated service to Chief Plumbing and Heating of Nyack and started his own business. He was an avid fisherman and loved to go out on his boat whenever he had time. Rippy was a life-member of Empire Hook and Ladder Co. #1 in Upper Nyack where he joined as a teenager. He was part of one of the Nyack Fire Dept's first mountain rescue teams. He was also a member of the American Legion Post in Nyack. Rippy will be deeply missed by all his family and friends and by his cat, Frankie.
