She was 50. The daughter of Sydney Johnson and Olga Homer Johnson, she was born November 26, 1954 in Georgetown, Guyana. Survivors include her husband Claude Bristol of Walden; daughter Shanice A. Bristol at home; mother Olga Homer Johnson of Newburgh; sisters Brenda Johnson of Walden, Cheryl Sealey of Antioch, Calif., Patricia Johnson of Newburgh; brothers Desmond Johnson of Jamaica, Queens, N.Y., Patrick Johnson of Walden; nieces Nandi Sealey, Cher Sealey both of California. Visitation will be Monday, November 28 from 11 a.m. to noon at The Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden. Funeral services will follow immediately at noon at the funeral home. Fr. DiBenedetto, William Vito William Vito DiBenedetto of Farmville, Va. and Ferndale, N.Y., died on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005 in Virginia. He was 73. William was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. He started his career as a professional baseball player for the Brooklyn Dodgers. After serving his country in the Army during the Korean War, he owned his own masonry company and then became a Standardbred horse trainer. Bill was an amateur field trial dog trainer and sports enthusiast. He is survived by a sister Frances Diesu of Huntington, N.Y. Also survived by six children: son James DiBenedetto and wife Debra of Topfield, Mass., daughter Joanne Benedict and husband Mark of Hamilton, Mass., son Kyle DiBenedetto and wife Robin of Ferndale, N.Y., daughter Gina Mishler and husband Mark of Hawthorn Woods, Ill., daughter Angela DiBenedetto of Boca Raton, Fla., and daughter Brenda Mizelle and husband Robert of Mechanicsville, Va. He was also survived by 14 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents James and Josephine DiBenedetto and his beloved wife of 32 years, JoAnn DiBenedetto. Fountain, Miles Joffre Miles Joffre Fountain, aka Mr. Miles, a six-year resident of Newburgh and an 11th grade student at Newburgh Free Academy, died Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at home. He was 16. Born on October 3, 1989 in Dale City, Va., he was the son of Darrel Redden and Jennifer Fountain. Survivors include his parents, Darrel Redden of Maryland and mother, Jennifer Fountain of Virginia; one brother, Malachi Fountain; two sisters: Mariah Jane Fountain and MayaBelle Fountain; Uncle, Ian Fountain all of Newburgh; Aunts: Hillary and Heather Fountain both of San Diego, Calif.; his loving and devoted maternal grandparents: Jeffrey and Cynthia Fountain, both at home; paternal grandfather: John Redden of Virginia; maternal great-grandmother Helen E. Haring of White Sulphur Springs, a longtime area resident and retired automobile mechanic, died Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. He was 81. The son of the late Roland I. and Mildred S. Bird Haring, he was born August 6, 1924 in Suffern. Walter had been employed for Driscoll Chevrolet in Spring Valley, N.Y. and later a 20-year employee of the East Ramapo Central School District. Survivors include his wife, Laura A. Mikuszewski Haring at home; two sons, John Haring of Nashville, Tenn and Jim Haring of White Sulphur Springs; one granddaughter, Meghan Haring of Budd Lake, N.J. Layden, Thomas Thomas Layden of Greenwood Lake, a longtime resident of the area and self-employed contractor, died Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern. He was 58. Thomas was born on December 10, 1946 in Queens, N.Y. Survivors include his wife, Sue Layden at home; his nephews, Michael Houston of Charlotte, N.C. and James Houston and wife Danielle of Ft. Hood, Texas; cousin, Susan Williams and husband Robert of Greenwood Lake; great-niece and great-nephew, Victoria and Jack Houston. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Marie O'Donnell. Morgan, a golf & family enthusiast, died Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at home in Monticello surrounded by the love of his family. He finished one under par. The son of the late Irving Francis Morgan & Mary Elizabeth Leonard Morgan, he was born November 5, 1934 in Orange, New Jersey. After contemplating the priesthood, 'Wild Bill' enrolled in the New Jersey National Guard and later met Marie to start a family. A former professional, 'Willy the Wedge' was a golf instructor at the Concord Monster Golf Course who devoted his free time to the game of golf; He was also a former mixologist at D's Restaurant in Monticello and later at the Concord Resort Hotel in Kiamesha Lake. He played his last round of golf just a few weeks ago at the #1 course in the world, Pine Valley Golf Club, with his two sons. His family would like to thank the many nurses at the Tucker Center for Cancer Care in Middletown for their extraordinary care during his stay with them. It was Bill's wish to leave the hospital to be at home with those he loved, and without the many fine people with Hospice this would not have been possible. Bill is survived by his wife of 42 years: Marie Ofvergard Morgan, at home; two sons: Scott W. Morgan & his wife Jennifer of Hawthorne, Calif. and Henrik 'Rick' Morgan and his wife, Jennifer, of Monticello; a daughter: Linda L. Mr. Rodriguez was born in New York City on January 23, 1938, the son of Jose Orlando and Isabel Negron Rodriguez. He was retired from the Air Force after 25 years of service. He had been stationed at Langley AFB where he was a computer systems superintendent. He was a member of St. Joseph's RC Church in New Paltz. Schwartz, a self-employed oil-burner mechanic and 10-year resident of the area, died suddenly on Tuesday, November 22, 2005. He was 60. The son of the late Isadore and Betty Miller Schwartz, he was born in the Bronx on March 12, 1945. Mark was a member and former captain of the Wurtsboro Fire Police, director of the Sullivan County S.P.C.A, an avid New York Yankees fan. He will also be remembered for the numerous editorials he placed in area newspapers, as he never was one to not give his opinion on a subject. Mark will always be remembered for his wise-cracking jokes, as humor was a very important part of his life. He always wanted everyone to smile. He is survived by his beloved wife, Renay Friedman Schwartz at home; his two sons, Andrew Schwartz and his wife Pansy of Kew Gardens, N.Y., and Ian Schwartz and his wife Beatrice of Flushing, N.Y.; as well as his three grandchildren, Shantavea, Alicia and Eric all of Flushing, N.Y. He was a retired clerk supervisor for 35 years in the United States Military Academy, West Point. He was equipment operator for 10 years at New York State Thruway in Newburgh. He was a member of the Mt. Carmel Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, a member of the Usher Board and the Male Chorus.
