He was 88 years old. The son of Thomas and Amelia "Amy" Becker Anderson, he was born April 20, 1917 in Jersey City, N.J. Robert was the widower of Dorothy Buck Anderson. He is survived by two daughters, Gail Northrop and her husband, Donald, of Littleton, Colo., and Barbara DePuy and her husband, George, of Montgomery; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. "Peg" McDonnell, a former clerk and resident of Walden since 1991, died Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at home. She was 71. The daughter of Chauncey and Catherine Biggerman Hanisch, she was born January 6, 1934 in Staten Island, N.Y. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Hawthorne-Ramapo Temple Star 286, Mountainville, N.Y. She is survived by two sons, Walter S. McDonnell and his wife, Sue, of Montgomery, and Philip McDonnell of South Carolina; two daughters, Phyllis McDonnell of South Carolina, and Lynn Babcock and her husband, Donald, of the state of Florida; two sisters, Doris Kirk of Pennsylvania, and Catherine Beuthe of New Jersey; two grandsons, Sean McDonnell and Philip McDonnell Jr.; nieces and nephews; and her ex-husband, Walter F. Olszewski, Rita Cecelia O'Hap "Bobcie" Rita Cecelia O'Hap "Bobcie" Olszewski, of Goshen, a retired Nurses Aide for Orange County Home and Infirmary in Goshen, N.Y., died Sunday, October 2, 2005 at the Valley View Nursing Care Facility in Goshen, N.Y. She was 84. Daughter of John O'Hap and Clara Glowaczeski O'Hap, she was born September 25, 1921 in Warwick, N.Y. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Goshen; Catholic Daughters, Court Genevieve Walsh, St. John's Church, Goshen, N.Y.; Polish Heritage Club of Orange County; and Polish Legion of American Veterans, USA. A family statement reads: "She was a Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Bobcie. We appreciate the love and attention given to Bobcie by the staff of Valley View Nursing Care Facility." She was the widow of John Olszewski. Quick, Robert Robert Quick, of Ellenville, a lifelong resident, and a lab technician for various hospitals in the area, died Oct. 4, 2005 in the Kingston Hospital. He was 49. The son of Barbara A. Phillips Quick and the late Roy B. Quick, he was born July 6, 1956 in Ellenville. He was a member of the Community Bible Church in Wawarsing. He served in the US Navy. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Tompkins Quick at home; his son, Harold Wayne Quick at home; his daughter, Jennifer Lynn Quick at home; two brothers, Roy A. Sanguinetti, Paula Valis With deepest sorrow, we announce the loss of our beloved Paula Valis Sanguinetti at the age of 50, after a long battle with breast cancer. Paula was raised in Sparkill, N.Y. and attended Tappan Zee High School. She moved to New Windsor, N.Y. to raise her two children, who were the passion of her life. She was a loving, devoted mother, whose life was filled with the love for family and home. Paula worked in banking for 25 years and loved her work. She was highly respected in her community for dedicating all her efforts to preserve the Crestview Lake. It was because of Paula's determination and love for this beautiful recreational area that Crestview was not closed down. All who knew her were touched by her warmth, generosity, humor and kindness. She will be missed by all who had the honor to know her. Narrowsburg, N.Y. Joseph C. Snow of Narrowsburg, Superintendent of Mid Orange Correctional Facility, and a longtime resident of the area, died Monday, October 3, 2005 at the Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, Pa. He was 76. The son of the late Clarence and Marian D'Avignon Snow, he was born October 30, 1928 in Plattsburgh, N.Y. Mr. Snow was a veteran of the United States Army, where he received a Korean Service Medal with one Bronze Star. He was a member of the Tusten-Highland Post #6427 Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post #0315. Mr. Snow retired as Superintendent of Mid Orange Correctional Facility in Warwick, N.Y. in 1991 after 36 years of dedicated service. During his career he received many awards, including the prestigious State Chairman's Highest Award given at the United States Military Academy at West Point for Significant Contributions to the Support of the Military Reserve Forces. He was noted for implementing many innovative programs at the prison and received many commendations for his dedication to the community service. Joseph was a devoted husband to his wife of 53 years, Dolores, and loving father who cherished his family. He was a loving grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Souza Snow, at home; two sons, Michael Snow and his fianc‚e, Patricia Spencer, of Pine Bush, and Daniel Snow and his wife, Stacie, of Beach Lake, Pa.; two daughters, Cynthia Kryger and her husband, Michael, of Montgomery, and Joanne Snow and her husband, Gerard Manzi, of Narrowsburg; one sister, Jimmie Bernard of California; eight grandchildren: Michael and Joseph Snow, Sarah Snow and Ryan O'Keefe, Katy Duffany and Chris Terwilliger, and Jenna and Johnny Snow-Manzi; one great-grandchild, Justin Duffany; and several nephews. Stanton, a bank teller for Community Bank of Sullivan County in Liberty, died Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at the Sullivan Co. Adult Care Center in Liberty, surrounded by her family. She was 60. The daughter of the late Louis L. Ornoff and Dora Gershon Ornoff, she was born December 30, 1944 in Norfolk, Va. Roberta had a love for decorating and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 15 years: John O. "Jack" Stanton, at home; a son: Lynn D. Barry & his fianc‚e Pam Knapp of Yulan; a daughter: Wendy M. Rosenblum & her husband Matthew of Rock Hill; a brother: Melvin Ornoff of Portsmouth, Va.; four grandchildren: Christopher Barry, Ryan Rosenblum, Colin Rosenblum & Jordan Barry; and several nieces and nephews. Stoddard, 29, died September 30, 2005 in a vehicle accident while serving proudly in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. SFC James J. Stoddard was a proud member of his hometown community of Crofton, Md. and he attended Arundel Senior High School in Gambrills, Md. An accomplished athlete, James was a member of the Gambrills Odenton Recreation Council football and baseball teams and his high school junio varsity and varsity football and baseball teams. James was also part of the 1993 National High School Baseball Championship Team. He attended Anne Arundel Community College and Salisbury State University. In 1998, SFC James J. Stoddard became a member of the All American family as a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division, Ft. Bragg, N.C. In 2002, he was assigned to the White Devils, Alpha Company, 2-504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, where he served proudly a a member supporting the Global War on Terrorism in Afghanistan (2) and Iraq. SFC James J. Stoddard Jr. has been awarded and earned the following decorations during his time of service: Ranger Tab, Senior Rated Jumpmaster wings, member of the Audie Murphy Club, Expert Infantryman Badge, Combat Infantryman Badge, Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Service Ribbons for The Global War on Terrorism. He is survived by his wife, Amy M. Stoddard, formerly of Weyers Cave, Va., whom he married July 10, 1999; his two daughters, Megan E. Conley, 13, and Makenzie E. Stoddard, 1; his son, James J. Stoddard III, 4; his mother, Katherine Stoddard of Crofton, Md.; his two sisters, Bridgett Stoddard of Crofton, Md., and Katherine Hoffman of Erie, Pa.; his maternal grandmother, Patricia Kearney of Crofton, Md.; son of the late James J. Martha Rogers White of Beverly Hills, Fla., formerly of Bloomingburg, N.Y. passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2005 in Beverly Hills, Fla. She was 100 years old. The daughter of Margaret Evelyn and Alfred Preston Rogers, she was born May 5, 1905 in Middletown, N.Y. She married Edson Morris White on August 10, 1922 in Pine Bush, N.Y., where they lived until their retirement in 1982 and moved to Beverly Hills, Fla. Martha was a life member of D.A.R. She was predeceased by her husband; sister, Mary Hannah; her daughter, Helen and husband, James Larsen; and her son, Charles Samuel White. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Florence White; son, Alfred Edson White; daughter-in-law, Charlotte of South Hill, Va.; and a daughter, Evelyn White Youngblood and her husband, Clifford Cash Youngblood, of Beverly Hills, Fla. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-great-grandchildren.
