"Tony" Anthony P. "Tony" Calabrese, Jr. of Washingtonville, died suddenly on Saturday, October 8, 2005 at home. He was 53. He was born December 12, 1952 in Jersey City, N.J., son of the late Anthony P. Sr. and Rose Sacco Calabrese. On November 5, 1977 Anthony married Mary Abilo in St. Benedicts Church in the Bronx. He was a member of Teamsters Local 641 and a driver for New Penn Motor Express in Newburgh. He was an avid golfer, bowler and loved the New York Giants. He will be dearly missed by his devoted wife of 28 years, Mary, of Washingtonville; loving children: Anthony J. Calabrese and his fianc‚e, Marilis Garcia, of New Windsor, and Christopher Calabrese of Washingtonville; dear sisters, Patricia Calabrese and her companion, John Pezzino, of Bonita Springs, Fla., and Jane Young and her husband, Tom, of Bayonne, N.J.; and a dear brother to Joseph Calabrese and his wife, Marcy, of Garfield, N.J. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Rose Calabrese on March 17, 2005, and his father, Anthony P. Calabrese, Sr. in 1979. De Vries-Talma, Wilma Wilma De Vries-Talma (nee De Jong), 97 years old, died after a short illness at the Milford Senior and Rehabilitation Center in Milford, Pa. on Friday, October 7, 2005. Born to Arend and Jantje De Jong in Holland, she has been a resident of Sussex, N.J. for 50 years. Mrs. De Vries-Talma was a member of the Sussex Christian Reformed Church in Sussex, N.J. She was the beloved wife of Dirk De Vries who predeceased her in 1969, and Peter Talma who predeceased her in 1987. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Winnie De Vries in 1955. She is survived by three sons: Theunis De Vries of Florida, Arthur De Vries and wife, Helen, of Dingman's Ferry, Pa., and Fred De Vries and wife, Rita, of Bloomingburg; two daughters, Jennie Kuperus and husband, Nicholas, of Vernon Twp., N.J., and Susan Struble of South Burlington, Vt.; 23 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. DeMarco, 47, of Seneca Falls, N.Y., formerly of Highland Falls, died Sunday, October 9, 2005 at Geneva General Hospital. Holly was born in West Point, N.Y. on January 28, 1957, the daughter of John Pratt and Winifred Nelson. She was a graduate of the James O'Neil High School in Highland Falls. She has been a resident of Seneca Falls for the past 18 years, and was a member of the Varick United Methodist Church, and attended the Tyre United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Daniel DeMarco, and daughter, Molly DeMarco, both of Seneca Falls, N.Y.; her mother, Winifred (Robert) Nelson of Seneca Falls; her father, John (Joan) Pratt of Hawthorne, N.J.; one brother, Ted Kelley of Seneca Falls; two sisters, Jenean (John) Fitzsimons of Fort Montgomery, and Katherine (John) Terry of Newburgh; one aunt, Dorothy Johnson of Seneca Falls; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Heidecker, Robert Joseph Robert Joseph Heidecker, a Gardiner resident for many years, died Saturday, October 8, 2005 at his residence. He was 23. The son of Gerd Heidecker and Alice Welsh Heidecker, he was born August 23, 1982 in Kingston, N.Y. Robert was a member of St. Charles Church. He is survived by his parents, Gerd and Alice Heidecker, of Gardiner; a brother, John Heidecker of Gardiner; maternal grandparents, Dr. John Welsh and Anne Welsh of LaGrangeville, N.Y.; one niece, Ella Heidecker; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Anne E. Heidecker on September 30, 2001. On October 8th, a kind and gentle soul left this world to reunite with his loved ones in his father's house. Born on September 1, 1915, he was the son of Charles and Emma. The beloved husband, father and grandfather just celebrated his 90th birthday. Nothing gave Frank more joy then spending time with his family and animals, which he loved so much. Frank was very passionate about the environment, science and life. He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched and by those who loved him dearly. His loving sister, Marie Sommers, and his cat, Sebastian, whom he adored, predeceased him. Frank is survived by his wife of 61 years, Kay; his daughters, Kathleen (Swain) and Patricia (Kuttler), his sons-in-law, Jon and George; four grandchildren: Jason, Chad, Heather and Craig; and his three animals: Daisy, Shiloah and Sassy. Pinto, a resident of both Middletown and and Leesburg, Fla., went peacefully to God on Wednesday, October 5, 2005 in Leesburg, Fla., surrounded by his loving family following a strong and courageous battle with lung cancer. He was 71. The son of the late Angelo and Lillian Walsh Pinto, he was born on October 9, 1933 in Brooklyn, N.Y. He moved to the Middletown area with his wife, Gertrude, in the 1960's. Don served as a Sergeant in the U.S Marine Corps. He was a retired Captain for the N.Y.S. Police Department, and was a member of the Former Trooper Association. Donald was also an active member of the Moose Lodge in Leesburg; the Boat Club; the Park Players, a drama and comedy club; and the Computer Club, all in Mid Florida Lakes. Some of his charitable work included cooking for local churches and organizing and running fundraisers for Hospice in Florida. A family statement reads: "Don was a very special, loving father and friend. He always tried to figure out how and what he could do for others. Everything he did was done with dignity, fairness and strength and he got a lot of respect for that. Don was quite the chef, a talented fisherman and a genius at computers. He got a lot of his knowledge from reading, and he always had a book and a camera in his hand. Don was also an avid outdoorsman who loved the wilderness. In addition to all of these attributes, Don was a stamp and coin collector." He is survived by his daughter, Susan Rollings and her husband, Ronald, of Middletown; his brother-in-law, Christopher Dorney and his wife, Barbara, of Westwood, N.J.; nephews, John Dorney and his wife, Kerri, of Mahwah, N.J. and Raymond Dorney and his wife, Julie, of Westwood, N.J.; as well as several other aunts, uncles and cousins. Don was predeceased by his beloved wife, Gertrude on August 30, 2001. Sztendor, Nellie Marcella Nellie Marcella Sztendor of Goshen, a housewife, retired produce farmer and a lifelong area resident, entered into rest on Sunday, October 9, 2005 at O.R.M.C., Arden Hill Campus, Goshen, N.Y. She was 84. The daughter of the late Nichalous and Rose Andryshak Grzywaczewski, she was born June 18, 1921 in Florida, N.Y. She was a member of St. Joseph's R.C. Church and St. Joseph's Holy Rosary Society. A family statement reads: "Nellie, whether as a wife, a mother or a grandmother, was an inspirational woman. Her love for God, family and, of course, Polka music, leaves the fondest of memories upon those who knew her. Although our lives will never be the same without her, she'll remain in our hearts forever. Thank you Mom/Grandma for showing us what a family is. You are the glue that keeps all the pieces together. We'll love you forever." Survivors include her husband, Ignatius A. The son of Cohen Sr. and Maggie Butler Tart, he was born August 13, 1929 in Dunn, N.C. He was a US Navy veteran and a former member of the Coldenham Fire Dept. He was the widower of Eunice A. Tart. Survivors include one daughter, Deborah Lawrence of Montgomery; two grandchildren, Thomas and Beth Lawrence; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, William Tart and a sister Betsy Coats.
