She was 74. The daughter of the late Joseph and Bessie Kyles Napoli, she was born January 10, 1931 on Long Island. Genevieve was a retired waitress and attended Pine Bush Kingdom Hall. She is survived by her sons, Steven Ellis of Cape Cod, David Ellis of Maybrook, Michael Ellis of Gardiner, Thomas Ellis of Orange Lake, Joseph Ellis of New Paltz and stepson Michael Allarie of Orlando, Fla.; daughters Rae Ellis of Highland Falls, Denise Vega of Kissimee, Fla., Doreen Ellis of Arizona and Claudette Casey of Marshfield, Mass.; brothers Vincent Joseph Napoli of Wallkill and Richard Napoli of Arizona; a sister Grace Dunn of Arizona; and nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Alcide Allarie; brothers Robert and Orazio Napoli; and grandson David Ellis Jr. The family will receive friends Friday, Sept. 23 from 5 to 8 p.m. at White and Venuto Funeral Home, 188 N. Barron Jr., James Edward "Jim" James "Jim" Edward Barron Jr., 70, of Hudson Falls, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at his home, after a long illness. Born on February 6, 1935 in Newburgh, he was the son of the late James E. and Madeline (Fisher) Barron Sr. In addition to his parents, a sister, Denise (Barron) Barker also died before him. Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Patricia Barron, of Hudson Falls; his three sons, Keith, Kevin, and Michael Barron and their wives; his seven grandchildren; his two brothers, Bruce Barron and his wife, Gloria of Campbell Hall and Stephen Barron and his wife, Noreen of Fort Ann; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church, on the park in Hudson Falls, with the Rev. Jason Santalucia, pastor, officiating. Cusimano, Marie "Mama" Marie "Mama" Cusimano, a 15-year resident, died Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Horton Campus. She was 83 years old. The daughter of the late Nicholas and Catherine DePalo, Marie was born December 23, 1921 in Mt. Vernon, N.Y. With eight brothers and sisters, she was proud to be a member of the "family nine." Besides her love of gardening and the game of Bingo, she enjoyed watching soap operas too. A family statement reads, "Marie's family always came first, she would do anything for her family. She was the most caring and giving person we have ever known. She was honest and hardworking - she worked since the 7th grade to help support her eight brothers and sisters. She gave herself to others when they needed her. She was a remarkable woman. Marie was the best mother, grandmother and great-grandmother in the world. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren gave her a renewed chance of being a mother, which was a gift to them and herself." Marie is survived by her daughter, Linda Reese of Slate Hill; one brother, Ralph DePalo of Florida; two grandsons, Peter J. Reese of Montevalo, Ala., Erich A. Reese of Slate Hill; two great grandchildren, Kai Reese and Samantha Reese, both of Alabama. She will also be missed by her friends in Park Manor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, who loved her dearly. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Cusimano on December 8, 1980 and her grandson, Michael Reese on August 22, 2005. Cremation was private and at the convenience of the family. Davis, Adeline Adeline Davis, a 73-year resident of Newburgh and homemaker, died Saturday, September 17, 2005 at Wingate at Dutchess in Fishkill. She was 86. The daughter of the late Alton Davis and Lillian Franklin, she was born February 20, 1919 in Southern Pines, N.C. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Newburgh and a member of Senior Usher's and Golden Years Ministry. Survivors include four brothers, Andrew Davis of Newburgh, Eliah McNair of Cartage, N.C., Roceal Davis of McBee, S.C. and Charlie Davis of Tallahassee, Fla.; four sisters, Christine Smith of Milton, Ola Williams of Cartage, N.C., Lee Sparta and Nazzie Hill both of Newburgh; sisters-in-law Rosealee Davis of Newburgh, Mary Davis of Tallahassee, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, Donna Davis, Cindy Stevens, Roberta Stritmater, Michelle Clarke and Renee Davis all of Middletown, Adeline Haynes of Newburgh, Tenis Murdock of Richmond, Va., Latoya Davis of Orlando, Fla., Ronnie Haynes of Denver, Colo., Gerald Haynes of Newburgh and George Davis Jr. of Rochester; 30 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Ganz, Margaret Margaret Ganz, retired Monroe-Woodbury school teacher, died Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at the Orange Regional Medical Center in Goshen after hip-replacement surgery. She was 96 and had lived in Monroe for close to 60 years, having once owned, with her husband Julius and his business partner Ben Kratka, the former Zindorest Park Hotel on Route 208, Monroe. The daughter of the late Joseph & Caroline Weiss, she was born April 16, 1909 and was married to the late Julius Ganz. Her sisters Irene Weiss and Elizabeth Golub predeceased her. She was a member of the Monroe Temple Beth-El, Hadassah and the Jolly Seniors. She is survived by her son Robert of Hackensack, N.J.; nephews Donald Golub, Richard Golub, Robert Ausubel, Frederick Rosenthal; niece Nomi Zuchovitsky; as well as grandnieces & nephews & many friends. Margaret lived an active, independent life with her many friends right up to the day she entered the hospital on September 11, 2005. Garside, Richard Richard Garside, formerly of Watertown, Connecticut, passed away at St. Luke's Hospital in Newburgh, New York on September 20, 2005 after a long illness. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Caroline Garside. He was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts on October 18, 1927, the son of Joseph L. Garside and Katherine Hirst Garside. He was graduated from the Loomis School in Windsor, Conn., with honors from Amherst College and received an M.A. in History from Columbia University. He began his long career in commercial banking in New York City, moving to Watertown, Conn. in 1962, where he was active in politics, serving on the town council and police commission. He was a dedicated member of the Episcopal Church, serving as a lay reader and member of the vestry and choir. In his later years, he served as Treasurer of the Trinity Church, Waterbury, Conn. and sang in the choir of St. George's Church in Middlebury, Conn. He was instrumental in establishment of the Trinity Fund, which supports several local charities. Known for his razor-sharp wit, remarkable intellect and deep devotion to his family, he was an avid reader, and had a wide range of interests, including history, gardening and antiques. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Emily Metaxas and her husband Robert, of Newburgh, his daughter Julia Savage, of Sharon, Conn. and his beloved grandchildren, Katherine and Caroline Savage, to whom he was both grandfather and father figure. Griffin, Joseph Leo Joseph Leo Griffin, a lifelong Middletown resident, died September 16, 2005 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Suffern, N.Y. He was 47 years of age. Joe was born on May 22, 1958 in Middletown, N.Y. to the late Dr. Frank Griffin and Marion McGarry Griffin. He is survived by his five siblings Gerald Griffin of Middletown, Michael Griffin and his wife Kathy of Cuddebackville, Christine Thomas and her husband Richard of Austin, Texas and Fran Griffin and her husband John Laroe of Sugar Loaf and Veronica Griffin of Sugar Loaf, N.Y. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Joe loved his family and friends, baseball and music. There will be no visitation services. Hopkins, Jason Edward Jason Edward Hopkins, of Kerhonkson, died unexpectedly Sunday, September 18, 2005. He was 19. Jason was born on August 1, 1986 in Kingston, the son of Steven and Denise (Parker) Hopkins. Jason was an avid hunter and a member of the North American Hunting Club and the Wawarsing Rod & Gun Club. He was a very talented self-taught mechanic. His family has always been very proud of his mechanical skills. He was working for Accord Feeds & Needs doing deliveries and providing customer service, because Jason had always been such a people person. Besides his parents, Steven & Denise, Jason is survived by his brother Alex and his three sisters, Veronica, Karen and Amber all of Kerhonkson. His uncles Mark Hopkins and his wife Maria, Salvatore LoGiudice, Gary LoGiudice and Richard Grant. His aunts Deborah Nagel and cousin Louis Nagel, Lori Ercolano and her husband Pete, Honor-e Iseman and great-aunt Andrea Iseman and his extended family. Melamed, Pauline Pauline Melamed, a retired secretary for B'Nai B'rith in Manhattan, died Wednesday, September 21, 2005 in North Shore Hospital, Forest Hills, N.Y. She was 88. The daughter of Samuel Melamed and Ida Diamond, she was born October 13, 1916 in Millstone Township, N.J. Survivors include one sister, Sally Asch and husband Herbert of Queens; two brothers Marty Melamed and wife Estelle of Queens, Hy Melamed and wife Barbara of Brooklyn; nephew Melvyn Edelhertz and wife Helaine of Middletown; niece Ellen Leventhal and husband Mitch of Muttontown; several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by sister Rachel Edelhertz and nephew Steven Edelhertz. In the all too brief time that Jamie shared with us she changed our lives in so many ways. We are thankful for her life and feel comforted knowing she is home in heaven. VanSeters, Henry Henry VanSeters, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, passed peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2005 at the Elant of Goshen Facility following a short illness. Born Feb. 14, 1922 in Passaic, N.J., he was the son of John Jacob VanSeters and Irene Elizabeth Bullis, originally from Hellevoetsluis and Ouddorp, Holland. Growing up in the Wallington-Garfield- Passaic, N.J. area, his fascination with pipe organs began. He started playing at age 10, apprenticing in his teens and later becoming a pipe organ builder, technician and installer for M.P. Moeller Co. in Hagerstown, Md. During WW II, with his keen sense of hearing, he was assigned underwater sound, radar and sonar duties in the US Coast Guard for four years, crossing the Atlantic 18 times and the Pacific nine items. After the war, he returned to M.P. Moeller Organ Co. and was chosen from 16 applicants to be the assistant curator of the United States Military Academy (USMA) organs at West Point, N.Y. While serving under the Cadet Chapel's first three organists, Frederick Mayer, John A. Davis Jr. and Lee Dettra, he guided the rebuilding and expansion of the famous orchestral organ. It was all made possible through gifts and memorials, from 211 sets of pipes (ranks) to more than 324 ranks making it the largest church pipe organ and third largest organ in the world. In addition to the Chapel organ, he maintained, tuned and rebuilt the Post Chapel, Catholic Chapel, Old Cadet Chapel and St. Martin's Chapel organs, all on the USMA post. John A. Davis Jr., organist-choirmaster of the USMA for 30 of the 42 years during with Henry served said, "No one cared more for the well-being or the progress of the famed Chapel organ than Mr. VanSeters. His ability and vision were of inestimable value in guiding all of us who had anything to do with the instrument and his personal friendship was greatly cherished." In addition to maintaining and rebuilding numerous organs in the Hudson River Valley, he built five pipe organs for various churches, including his home church, The Netherlands Reformed Congregation of Clifton, N.J. He was a frequent consultant to churches and attended American Guild of Organists, American Institute of Organbuilders and American Pipe Organ Builders yearly conventions. He was also an avid pursuer of technological design and developments. He is survived by his wife Teresa of 54 years; son Dean; daughter Karen Lee Fain and husband Richard; granddaughters Karlee, Kaylyn and Kelsey Fain and friend A. Robert Chapman. Predeceased by sister Marie Mol, survived by sister Constance Kievet, brother Garret, brother Jack and wife Celene and nieces and nephews. Wright, of Warwick, died on September 21, 2005 at her late residence. She was 76 years old. Born on April 6, 1929, she was the daughter of Edward Wright Sr. and Alice Pearson Wright. Ms. Wright worked on the custodial staff at Warwick Valley High School. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Warwick. She is survived by her brother, Edward Wright Jr. of Montclair, N.J.; three nephews, David, Gregory and Stephen Wright; one niece, Teresa Cruz. She was predeceased by a sister, Ethel De Groat.
