Raymond R. Bedford Sr., 74, of Dimock, Pa., died Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at Endless Mountains Health Systems, Montrose, Pa. Born September 11, 1931 in Warwick, N.Y., he was the son of the late Louis and Frances (Smith) Bedford. He was the last of his 13 immediate family members. He was self-employed as a "Handiman" Carpenter. He enjoyed dealing lawn mowers, tractors and livestock. Survivors include his wife Barbara (nee Burns) of Dimock, Pa.; daughters and sons-in-law Rene' Bedford & fianc‚ John, Bloomingburg, N.Y., Dorothy Bedford & fianc‚ Carl, Scotchtown, N.Y., Wanda Leach & husband, Bloomingburg, N.Y., and Donna & Thomas Pellew, Dimock, Pa.; sons & daughters-in-law Richard & Chris Fairweather, Woodbridge, Va., Ronald & Joanne Fairweather, Bloomingburg, N.Y., Raymond R. Bermo, Marta Marta Bermo of Plattekill, an employee of SUNY College at New Paltz, and 34-year resident, died Friday, September 23, 2005 in Kingston Hospital. She was 61. The daughter of the late Teidoro Hernandez and Margarita Martinez, she was born October 4, 1943 in Ponce. Marta was a devout Catholic. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to her family. A family statement reads, "We will sadly miss you and you will be always in our hearts." She is survived by her husband, Jose Bermo of Plattekill, whom she married in Bayonne, N.J.; three daughters: Estrella B. Attanasio of Lake Katrine, N.Y., Maria D. Maldonado of Wallkill, and Yolanda Bermo-Vinogradov of Wallkill; one son, Joseph Bermo of Kerhonkson; grandchildren: Marilena L. Attanasio of Lake Katrine, N.Y., Brianna, Skylar and Celina Maldonado of Wallkill, Ariana Vinogradov of Wallkill, and Destina Bermo of Kerhonkson. Marguerite Saylor Bouton, 97, died in Cumberland on September 14, 2005 after an extended illness. She was born on August 14, 1908 in Winston-Salem, N.C. 'Bakie', as all her family and friends knew her, was married to Dr. Dale C. Bouton in 1938. Dr. Bouton predeceased her in 1986. She is survived by her son, Dale and wife, Carol; her daughter, Patricia; her sister, Johnnie Hauser and husband, Jarvis; a grandson, Clay Bouton and wife, Wendy; a great-granddaughter, Anna Elisabeth; a great-grandson, Reed Ellis; and several nieces and nephews. Bakie began her career in church music following graduation from Westminster Choir College. She was the youngest Westminster choir member to ever tour Europe. She sang as a soloist in 13 countries, including a performance for the Queen of England in 1929. After college 'Bakie' was the music director for several churches in North Carolina and New York during the 1930's. She was married and lived with her husband, Dale, in Newburgh and Cornwall. They moved to Maine in 1966, living in Dexter, Bangor, and Cumberland. While raising her family, 'Bakie' was an active member and participant in numerous civic groups and committees giving back to the community where she was living. 'Bakie' and her husband, Dale, loved the family camp at Moosehead Lake in Greenville, Maine, where she and the family spent time in the summer and fall seasons. 'Bakie's' greatest joy in life was spending joyous and quality time there with family and friends and she will be sadly missed by all. She had a long and full life and she will be especially remembered for her zest for life. At the age of 80 'Bakie' had her television acting debut in the Gallo wine commercial, followed by Megabucks and the Gorham House. Traveling extensively throughout the world, visiting all 7 continents, she experienced balloon rides over the African Serengeti, Zodiac rides with the penguins in the Antarctic, elephant rides to see tigers in India, and feeding giraffes out of her hotel window in Kenya. At 95, she flew in a helicopter over her beloved Deer Island at Moosehead Lake. 'Bakie' loved gardening and her flowers. Known for her creativity and style she won many horticultural honors for table settings and arrangements. She was an active sports woman, which included hunting and fishing. She hunted bear, deer, and moose and belonged to the 200 pound Buck Club. In her 90's she played golf and has a picture of putting golf balls in the Antarctic. A service of celebrating her life will be held at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Falmouth at 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 29th. Domingo, Jean Jean Domingo, a beloved mother and grandmother, died Thursday, September 22, 2005 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. She was 76. The daughter of the late Samuel Kunitsky and Anastasia Nellie Bedzik Kunitsky, she was born January 25, 1929 in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was the widow of Nick Domingo, who predeceased her on August 2, 2002. She is survived by her two children, Steven J. Domingo and his wife, Christina, of Pittsford, and Nick Domingo and his wife, Gale, of Massapequa; a sister, Frances Colon of the state of Florida; five grandchildren: Jason, Ashley, Joseph, Ana and William; and several nieces, nephews and neighbors of Bethel, N.Y. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 25 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Gannon of Sloatsburg, N.Y., passed away suddenly on September 22, 2005 at the age of 58. Son of the late Howard and Edna Gannon, he was raised in Hillburn and Viola, N.Y. and was a Rockland County resident for most of his life. Jeff served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, with G2 Intelligence. He was employed by the United States Military Academy at West Point for over 30 years and was recently retired. Whether it was at the Shore, the lakes, or the mountains, Jeff was an avid outdoorsman who enjoying hunting, fishing, and hiking. He loved all aspects of nature. He is survived by his wife, Lee; his son, Christian (Jennifer) of Garnerville, N.Y.; his daughter, Kelley, and grandson, Alan Hunter of Sloatsburg, N.Y.; his sister, Jill of California and his niece, Karri Nolan (Michael) of Monsey, N.Y. The daughter of the late Arkadiusz "Andy" Jaromionek, she was born February 26, 1930 in Russia. She was a member of St. Peter and Paul's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Glen Spey. McDowell, a 26-year area resident, died Friday, September 23, 2005 at O.R.M.C., Horton Campus, Middletown. She was 52. The daughter of Walter Kirby and Catherine Monjello, she was born February 25, 1953 in New York, N.Y. She was the vice president in charge of business development and training at the Orange County Trust Company of Middletown. She formerly attended St. Paul's R.C. Church in Bullville. She was secretary for the Orange County Banker's Assoc. and member of the Center for Financial Training and the Orange County Golf Club. A family statement reads, "In memory of a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. Few words are fit to describe a woman whose warmth engulfed all in her presence. Courageous to the end, her unique spirit will live on through all whose lives she touched. Her compassionate and caring ways knew no barrier. A gift from God, she will be sorely missed by all."
