News of the Highlands - 24th Aug 1928

Mrs Joseph Volkringer, aged 34 years, died at her home in this village on 
Friday from Bright's disease, from which she had been a sufferer for many 
months. She is survived by her husband and one son. The funeral services 
occurred from the Church of the Sacred Heart on Monday morning and the sacred 
edifice was filled with sorrowing friends. Internment was in Peacedale
Cemetery under the direction of D.J Crawford Company.

Additional Comments:
Sarah Lillian Volkringer nee Greatorex, daughter of George and Mary Ellen 
Greatorex who settled in Highland Falls, Orange Co, after emigrating from 
Sheffield, England during the mid 1880's. Sources differ as to where she was 
born either in England or the USA, still trying to track that down.
