I ISRAEL ROGERS of Wallkill, County of Ulster and State of New York, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make ordain publish and declare this my last will and testament, in the first place I give my Soul to God, and my Body to the Earth, to be buryed at the discretion of my Executor herein after named, and as to what worldly substance it hath pleased God to bless me with I bequeath in manner and form following. Viz, To JONATHAN & WILLIAM ROGERS, my Brothers, I bequeath the choice of the lots of land, procured by me of SAMUEL DAVIS, PATRICK DAVIS, RICHARD DAVIS, & PETER DAVIS being Soldier Rights one lot of six hundred acres, to be equaly devided between them, to them their heirs and assigns, To JOSEPH ROGERS and JOHN ROGERS, my brothers, I bequeath another next best lot, to them their heirs and assigns. To ROBERT ROGERS my Brother I bequeath the third best lot, to him his heirs and assigns. To BENJAMIN, MOSES and ARON ROGERS, I bequeath the fourth best lot, to them their heirs and assigns. To SARAH McCLURE, JANE FOLCANER, and ANNA ROGERS, my sisters to them their heirs and assigns, I bequeath the other lot. To SAMUEL DAVIS I bequeath the sum of five pounds. to RICHARD DAVIS I bequeath five pounds to PATRICK DAVIS I bequeath the sum of five pounds. to SARAH REED and her two daughters RACHEL and AZUBA I bequeath all my Beds, and Beding, to be Equally devided between them and after my Debts and Legseyes are all paid I bequeath to my three Sisters one seventh part of the remainder, to be devided in the following manner, two fifths of the part to SARAH, the other three fifths equally between JANE & ANNA. to my three Brothers, ROBERT, MOSES and BENJAMIN I bequeath one seventh part of said remainder to be Devid in the following manner. viz, to ROBERT one-fourth to BENJAMIN one fourth, to MOSES one half. and the other remaining five sevenths I bequeath, Equally to be devided between my Brothers, ROBERT, JONATHAN, WILLIAM, JOSEPH and JOHN ROGERS, and lastly, I nominate constitute and appoint my friends, ROBERT ROGERS, WILLIAM FALCONER, my brother in law and WILLIAM BULL Executors of this my last will and Testament, and authorize and Impower them to Sell and dispose of my lands in the County of Ulster, and give a Title for the same and likewise all my personal property not already bequeathed, and I direct them to pay all my Just debts and legecys, within three years of my decease, and if that the Congregation of Neely Town, should buy a personage within said three years, I direct them to pay the sum of twenty pounds towards it. Be it remembered that on the fifth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety five, personally came and appeared before me, JOSEPH GASHERIE, Surrogate of the said County, JASON WILKIN of the Town of Wallkill in the said County Yeoman and being duly Sworn on his Oath declared that he did see ISRAEL ROGERS Sign and Seal the within written instrument purporting to be the Will of the said ISRAEL ROGERS bearing date the twenty seventh day of March in the year one thousand seven hundred and ninety two and heard him publish and declare the same as and for his last Will and Testament, that at the time thereof he the said ISRAEL ROGERS was of sound disposing mind and memory to the best of the knowledge and belief of him the deponent, and that JOSEPH WHELAN and JONATHAN SWEZY together with the deponent, subscribed the said Will as Witnesses thereto in the Testators presence. Surrogate of the said County, the last Will and Testament of ISRAEL ROGERS, deceased (a Copy whereof is here unto annexed) was proved, and is now approved and allowed of by us, and the said deceased having whilst he lived and at the time of his death Goods, Chattels, or Credits within this State, by means, whereof the proving and registering the said Will, and the granting Administration of all and singular the said Goods, Chattels and Credits, and also the auditing allowing and final discharging the account thereof doth belong unto us: the administration of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased, and any way concerning his Will is granted unto ROBERT ROGERS and WILLIAM FALCONER, Executors in the said Will named they being first duly Sworn, well and faithfull to administer the same, and to make and exhibit a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the said Goods, Chattels and Credits and also to render a just and true account thereof when thereunto required.
