Surrogate of our Said County the Last Will and Testament of William Jillet of the Town of Deerpark in the County Deceased (a Copy whereof is hereunto annexed) was proved and is now approved and allowed of by us and the Said deceased having whilst believed and at the time of his death goods Chattels or Credits within this State by means whereof the proveing (sic) and Registering the Said Will and the granting administration of all and Singular the Said goods chattels and credits of the Said deceased and also the auditing allowing and final discharging the account thereof doth belong unto us. The administration of all and Singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the Said deceased and any way concerning his Will is Granted unto Elisha Reeve and Charles Jillet Jr. the Executors in the Said Will named They being first duly sworn well and faithfully to administer the Same and to make and exhibit a True and perfect Inventory of all and Singular the Said Goods Chattels and credits and also to render a Just and True account thereof when thereunto required In Testimony where we have caused the Seal of Office of our Said Surrogate to be hereunto affixed. I William Jillet of the Town of Deerpark County of Orange and State of New York Yeoman Tho Weak in body but of Sound mind memory and understanding blessed be God do this fifth day of April in the Twenty Third year of the Independence of the United States of America and the Year of Lord one thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety Nine make this my last Will in manner and form following. Imprimis. I give my Soul unto God when he Shall be pleased to call me and my body to the earth Hopeing (sic) for a Joyful resurrection. As for my worldly Goods with which it has pleased God to give me I give and bequeath in the following manner First I give unto my beloved wife Keziah Jillet all the use of the room wherein we now live. with the use of one forth part of the Seller and one forth part of the chamber and the use of all my household furniture during her natural life. I give To my Said wife one Cow to be hers Choice out of the Cows that I may Leave and one Feather Bed and its furniture and all her wearing Cloathes (sic) to her my Said wife and to her heirs and assigns forever. I order that my hereafter named Executors pay yearly and once in every year and To come out of my real Estate unto my Said wife fifteen Bushell (sic), of Good Merchantable grain i.e. five of wheat, five of Rye and five of Corn. and one Hundred and fifty weight of good Merchantable Pork and Eighty weight of Good Merchantable Beef, and fifteen pounds of Good Merchantable Flax and five Pound of Good Merchantable Wool and Ten Pound of Tallow and three Barrels of Cyder (sic) and to provide suficien (sic) hay for her cow in the winters and Pasture in the Summers and provide suficient (sic) fewel (sic) for her fire cut fit for her fire place and Said handy to her dore (sic) and to have what apples Peaches and Pares (sic) She wants for her own use. Item I give to my nephew Charles Jillet and to his heirs and assigns forever all my Land and buildings with the appertinances (sic) excepting what is excepted for the use of my wife during her Natural life and then he the Said Charles Jillet Jr. is to have the full of all my real Estate -- Item I give To my Brother John Jillet Charles Jillet Senior and Anne Roos and to their heirs and assigns forever all my (all my twice) moveable Estate to be equally divided between Them my two Brothers and one Sister - - And I make and constitute my Trusty Friend Elisha Reeve of the Town of Deerpark County of orange and State of New York and my Nephew Charles Jillet Jr. of same place Executors of this my last Will and Testament. Willing them and either of them to pay all my Lawful debts and the Legacies above given and bequeathed to Bretheren (sic) and Sister, and I do hereby revoke all Former Wills bequests and testaments by me made and declare this to be my Last will and testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this day first written. Elisha Reeve - mark Orange County: Be it remembered that on the Twenty Seventh day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight Hundred and Fifteen personally appeared before me Edward Ely Surrogate of the Said County of Orange Samuel Merritt who being duly Sworn did declare and say that he did see William Jillet deceased Sign and Seal the preceding written Instrument purporting to be the last Will and Testament of the Said deceased bearing date the fifth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety Nine and heard him publish and declare the same as and for his Last Will and testament.
