Huldah was the sixth of nine children. Her siblings (all born in New York) were: George Washington (born 1828, died after 1910); William Cushman (born 1830, died before 1920); Raynor Elia (born Oct 6, 1832); Martin John (born January 1835); Elizabeth (born abt 1838, died abt 1839); Elizabeth Abi (born April 21, 1842); Franklin Stephen (born January 1845, died Jan 1899); and Frances Jane (born November 25, 1847). Huldah found living with her parents in the 1850 census at West Monroe, Oswego, NY: Calvin Anderson 44, Ann Anderson 42, George W Anderson 22, William C Anderson 20, Raynor E Anderson 17, John M Anderson 15, Susanna H Anderson 12, Elizabeth A Anderson 8, Franklin S Anderson 5, Frances J Anderson 2. Found Huldah in the 1860 census living at Great Bend, Champion, Jefferson, NY: Calvin Anderson 49, Ann Anderson 57, Raynor E Anderson 26, Susannah H Anderson 22, Elizabeth A Anderson 18, Franklin S Anderson 14, Jane E Anderson 12, Albert W Caldwell 23. In late 1860, Huldah married Albert W. Caldwell. Albert Caldwell was born 1837 to James G Caldwell (1809-1897) and Eliza Williams (1815-1888) and died 1863 Virginia. The couple had one daughter, Ann Eliza, born September 23, 1861 at Evans Mills, New York. The couple did not live together long as Albert Caldwell enlisted to fight in the Civil War the same month his daughter Ann was born. U.S. Civil War Soldier Records and Profiles: Albert Caldwell served in the Civil War and died because of it on April 20, 1863; Age 24; Enlisted in Company Battery C, New York 1st LA Battery C Light Artillery Battery on September 6, 1861. Promoted to Full Sergeant. Mustered out on January 10, 1863 at Falmouth, VA. Age: 24 Residence: Champion, Jefferson, New York. 2nd record found: Albert Caldwell, Age 25; Death: Falmouth, Stafford, Virginia, USA. Died during the American Civil War at a camp near Falmouth, VA close to Fredericksburg; died from sickness. Huldah, widowed, and her daughter Ann found living with Huldah's parents in the 1870 and 1880 censuses at Wilna, Jefferson, New York: 1870: Calvin Anderson 65, Ann Anderson 62, Reynard Anderson 36, Augustie Anderson 26, Huldah Colnall 33, Ann Eliza Colnall 9. 1880: Calvin 75, wife Annatie 73, daughter Huldah 43 and granddaughter Ann E. Colwell 18. About 1896, daughter Anne married William H. Webber. Huldah lived with the family. Found Huldah (Anderson) Caldwell in the 1900 census at Biddeford, York, Maine: William H Webber 38, Annes C Webber 38, Huldah Caldwell 62, Henry O Aurlie 27.
