Clarissa M Danforth was born September 15, 1838 at Palermo, Oswego, New York 
to Marshall Danforth and Catherina Wygant. (Note: many birth days or years 
found.) 

Found in the 1850 census living at Palermo, Oswego, New York: Marshall Groff 
46, Catharine Danforth 46, George Danforth 21, William Danforth 29, Lydia Ann 
Danforth 17, Mathew Danforth 14, Clarissa Danforth 10, Esther Danforth 8, 
Mercenus Danforth 3. 

Clarissa married Francis A. Auringer in 1851 at Oswego, New York. 

The couple had 13 children: Francis "Frank" Auringer (1833 - 1916); 
Albert Elmer Auringer (1857 - 1910); 
B Francis (Frank) Auringer (1861 - 1924); 
John Martin Auringer (1863 - 1937); 
Mary Auringer (1866 - 1933);  
Armina Minnie Auringer (1868 - 1960);
Edward Aurenger (1870 - ); 
Adelbert Laddie Auringer (1872 - 1876); 
Judson Thomas Auringer (1873 - 1941); 
Ervin Auringer (1875 - 1902); 
Nellie Auringer (1877 - 1975); 
Melvin Joseph Auringer (1880 - 1923); 
Jennie Rosella Auringer (1880 - 1960); 
Lena Belle Auringer (1882 - 1963). 

Clarissa died December 16, 1902 at Mexico, Oswego, New York and was buried at 
the Mexico Village Cemetery, Oswego, NY.

New York.

1880: Franklin Aurenger 47, Clarisa Aurenger 39, Burt Aurenger 22, Merton 
Aurenger 20, Francis Aurenger 19, Martin Aurenger 17, Marcia Aurenger 16, Mary 
Aurenger 13, Armina Aurenger 12, Edward Aurenger 10, Jefferson Aurenger 7,

1892: Clara Auringer age 50.
