Eckstedt Taught Oswego County Kids In Days Of One-Room Schools. Services for Pauline H. Eckstedt, 95, died Saturday, Oct. 27, after a brief illness. Burial was in Mt. Adnah Cemetery. A native of Volney, Mrs. Eckstedt lived in Pennellville and Mexico before moving to Fulton 12 years ago. Mrs. Eckstedt retired in 1959 as a vice-principal of Pennellville Central School after years of service. She had previously taught in several one-room schools in the Oswego County area. She was a member of the New York State Retired Teachers Association and the American Revolution, Kayendatsyona Chapter 77. Additional Comments: Marriage: March 28th 1937 to Edward Eckstead, who died Nov. 9 1940, internment in Mt. Adnah. Mrs. Eckstead 1st marriage was to Edward L.
