Mr. Oren Shaw fell from his wagon, dead, at 7 p. m., while on his way home. He had attended the grange picnic and later on the base ball play. He then drove to his son Charles', the station agent and from there started to his home at the lake. He appeared to be in his usual health, but while passing Slocum's hotel he was seen to be falling over the wheel of the wagon. When help reached him he gasped but once or twice and was dead. Dr. Lindsey was summoned who ascribed his death to paralysis. Mr. Shaw was 74 years and six months old and had been a resident of this town for over 60 years. He leaves a widow, five sons, Frank, Albert, Lorenzo, Charles and John, and one daughter, Mariette, and many friends to mourn him. His remains were taken to his son's. The funeral will be held at Charles Shaw's at 11 a. m. Thursday and at 12 n. at the church.
