Sarah E. Calkins Simons obit
Simons - Died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. R. Haughwout in Rochester, 
Jan. 8th. 
Mrs. Sarah E. Simons, lifelong resident of the town of Volney, until about 16 
months ago 
when she moved to the home of her daughter.
Mrs. Simons was the wife of Allan A. Simons who survives her. Both were well 
known in the 
town of Volney where they were members of Mt. Pleasant grange. Also surviving 
are three sons. 
Lawrence G. Simons & Ernest A. Simons, both of Volney & Carlton E. Simons, 
Fulton; Three 
daughters, Mrs. Haughwout, Rochester; Mrs. Esther D. Smith, of Oswego; Mrs. 
Lillian P. Snyder, 
of Volney; One sister, Mrs. Hattie Stewart, Mt. Pleasant; 23 grandchildren & 
14 great 
grandchildren.
The remains were brought to Fulton & funeral services held from the State 
Street M.E. 
Church Sunday afternoon, Rev. J. W. Warren officiating; internment in Mt. 
Adnah.
