Fowler E. Simons
Volney - Fowler E. Simons, 78, a former resident of the town of Volney, died
Friday at Veterans Administration Hospital, Canandaigua, following a long
illness.
Mr. Simons was born in the town of Volney and was a life resident of the
area.
Mr. Simons was an Army veteran of World War II. Serving in North Africa,
Sicily and Italy with the 34th Division.
He was a former employee of Armstrong World Industries and attended the
Methodist Church.
He is survived by two sisters; Mrs. Melora LeFleur of Collegedale, Tenn.,
and Mrs. Irene Hutton of Hannibal; a brother, Edward Simons of Chandler,
Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. from the Foster Funeral
Home, the Rev. Robert A. Johnson officiating.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 910
Fay St., Fulton.
