Samuel HITCHCOCK from Otsego Co NY in 1817 settled on lot 51 Town of POLAND,
and died at Cincinatti,Ohio 1833.
His wife ws Mary McCONNICK dau of John McCONNICK, mentioned in the BIO of
Luther LYDELL who also was married to a dau of JOHN McCONNICK a Soldier of the
Revolution; A daughter , Harmony HITCHCOCK m John CAMERON after his death she
married to Royal MEAD she died 1864 age 52 The National Society of the
Daughters of the American Revolution Volume 121

DAR applications submitted by descendants of James and Betsey include
corroboration of John's birth, marriage and death. The Schuyler Lake Cemetery
where they are buried includes the Connick tombstone which says "A Soldier of
the Rev John Connick died 4/21/1838 ae 82y; Wife Abigail died 11/14/1828 ae
70y; dau Susanna died 8/24/1828 ae 25y"
