Pruyn of Hollidaysburg on Thursday afternoon that her brother, Roy E. Bell, had paid the supreme sacrifice on Oct. 12, having been killed in France on that date. The word of his death came a few hours after receiving word from another brother, Harold, also in France, that he had been wounded in action on Oct. 5, and was recovering in a base hospital. Roy Bell was a member of company G, 107th infantry of the Twenty- seventh division and had been doing duty with the British forces. He was aged 22 and enlisted at Oneonta, N.Y., about the same time his brother enlisted. According to the letter received from Harold, he had been wounded in the right arm by machine gun bullets and was getting along well and wishing to get back at the Boches soon. The deceased soldier boy is survived by his father residing at Oneonta, his sister in Hollidaysburg, and the soldier brother in France. Additional Comments: I am not related to this family.
