August the 15 day 1757 I Jacob Bourom of Hempstead in Queens County witin the Province of New York Weaver being in good Helth and of sound mind and memory thanks be to God for it make and Ordain this my last will and Testament. In the first place I give and recommend my Soul to God who gave it to me my Body to the Earth to be buried after a Christian like manner att the discrection of my Executor in hopes of a joyfull reunion of boath att the Glorius morning of the resurrection as for such Worldly goods wherewith it hath pleased God to bless in this Life my Just and Lawfull debts first being satisfied I give and dispose and devise the same in the following manner and form. Viz Item I give and bequeath unto my well beloved Wife Corneleyaw my Brown chest and Brown table and Bedstid the Bedstid only. Item I give and bequeath unto my loving daughter Phebe my Cobbard and as to the rest of my Estate to be disposed of as followed Item I constitute and ordain my Love Wife Corneleyaw and my Father in Law Orre benet and my loving Friend Isaac Bloom executors of this my last Will and Testament who me Impower by Virtue of this my Last Testament to sell all the rest of my Estate rail and Parsenol and pay all my Just debts and the remain of the money I give the one third part to my Love Wife Corneleyaw and the other two third parts give and bequeath to my four children Phebe Orre John charity Equally to be devided Shear and Shear alike and I do hereby revoke and disanul all of other Wills Testaments Legacies Executors by me heretofore named and Willed confirming and ratifying this and no other as my last Will and Testament. (being there unto duly authorized) Joseph Southard and Richard Barnes two of the Witnesses to the within Will who being duly sworne severally declared that they did see Jacob Bourom deceased in his life time sign and Seal the same and heard him publish and declare it to be (an contain) his last Will and Testament that at the time thereof he was of sound disposing mind and memory to the best of their knowledge and belief and that they severally subscribed their names as Witnesses to the said Will in the presence of the Testator and of each other they also on their Oath aforesaid declare that they did see James Wood sign his name thereto in the presence of the Testator before me. Surrogate James DeLancey Esquire his Majestys Lieutenant Governor and commander in Chief in and over the Province of New York and the Territories depending thereon in America To all to whom these presents shall come or may concern Greeting Know Ye that at Queens County on the Eighth day of January last before Samuel Clowes Junr Esquire being thereunto delegated and appointed the last Will and Testament of Jacob Bourom deceased (a copy whereof is hereunto annexed) was proved and now approved and allowed of by me the said deceased having whilst he lived and at the time of his death goods Chattells and Credits within this Province by means whereof the proving and Registering the said Will and the granting Administration of all and singular the said goods Chattells and Credits and also the Auditing allowing and final discharging the account thereof doth belong unto me and that Administration all and singular the goods Chattells and Credits of the said deceased and any way concerning his will is granted unto Corneleyaw Bourom Orre Benet and Isaac Bloom the Executors in the said Will named being first Sworn well and faithfully to Administer the same and to make and Exhibit a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the said goods Chattells and Credits and also to render a just and true account thereof when thereunto required.
