I William Lape of the town of Sandlake County of Rensselaer and State of new York do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner form following 1st I will that my wife Margaret Lape shall remain on my farm on which I now live as long as the remains my widow and superintend and control the business of the farm and have of the said income of said farm one half and bear half of the Expenses of said farm, but if she becomes incapable either by marriage or otherwise then the farm is to be disposed of as hereafter mentioned, the above privilege is given to her (my wife) to Support the two helpless children. I also will that my wife shall have one hundred and twenty five dollars in cash. 2nd I will that Caty Mariah Lape (my daughter & Henry Lape my son both now helpless) shall have a good and comfortable support out of my farm as long as they live and also each of them a good bed and bedding. 3rd I will that my Real Estate shall remain unsold as long as the heirs mentioned in number 2nd shall live and my wife lives and is qualified to attend to the affairs of the farm as above stated then after their deaths I will that my real estate shall be sold and the money arising thus from shall be equally divided among my heirs with the exception that Andrew Lape, Thomas Lape, Matthias Lape, John L. Lape, my sons and Margaret Cipperly my daughter each shall pay out of this money one hundred dollars to Joseph my son immediately after receiving their respective moneys. 4th I will that my wife Margaret Lape shall sell so much of my horses and property as is necessary to pay all my debts and the remainder keep for her use and benefit. 5th I will that my clothing shall be appraised by my wife and divided equally among my sons except Joseph who is to have as much as his share of said clothing out of other personal property as much as my wife sees fit to give him. 6th I will that William Lape and Cornelius Lape my sons and Andrew Link to be Executors of this my last Will and Testament.
