McRoberts, died August 10, 2005; age 65 of Waterford. Beloved husband of Barbara. Dear father of Tim McRoberts and Kelly (Roger) Hahn. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Kellyann, Sophie and Abby. Brother of the late Raymond McRoberts, Mary Orazem, Jeanne Fisher, Patty Martuccio, John McRoberts, Margaret Reuss, Elizabeth Mortensen, Frances Iannuzzi, Judy Wheeler, Eileen Panzella; plus numerous nieces and nephews. Jim retired in July of 2004 after 40 years in the fire service. Jim joined the fire service in Highland Park in 1965, serving for five years. From there he moved on to the Southfield Fire Department in 1970 where he served for 35 years. Jim was a paramedic in the early stages of the Paramedic Program in 1974 for 25 years, a Fire Inspector for 5 years, a Lieutenant for 20 years, and the Southfield Fire Department Hazmat Team Coordinator for 20 years. Jim came to Michigan from New York City in 1960. One of his proudest moments came when he participated with the FDNY at Ground Zero, during the rescue and recovery effort, after the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. Jim was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church where he will lie in state Monday, August 15, 2005, 11:30 A.M. until the time of the Funeral Liturgy at 12:30 P.M. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Donelson, Johns and Evans Funeral Home, Saturday and Sunday 3-9 P.M. Service of Remembrance Sunday 7 P.M.
