D'Achille, 67, of Holmdel, NJ, died Friday, December 31, 2004 due to injuries sustained in an accident. Born in Brooklyn, NY on January 4, 1937, Phil attended Stuyvesant High School and Pace University. He served in the US Army Chemical Corps from 1955 to 1958. He began his professional career in banking before joining Prudential Insurance in 1962, where he had a distinguished career spanning 36 years. At Prudential, Phil held various positions in sales, marketing and management and earned both the Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations. He was especially proud of the Bayonne District becoming the number one district in the country under his leadership. After living on Staten Island, NY for 19 years, his career assignments took him to Boston and Los Angeles. He returned to New Jersey in 1989 and settled in Holmdel where he and his wife Rosalind lived for 15 years. He retired in 1998 as a Sr. Vice President. Phil was a unique man whose warmth, caring and compassion enriched all of those who were fortunate enough to have known him. Phil was a member of the Board of Trustees of Bayshore Health Care Management Corporation, and active in the American Cancer Society, Catholic Charities and Bamm Hollow Country Club. He was a communicant of St. Catharine's R.C. Church, Holmdel. An avid sports fan, especially of the NY Yankees, Phil loved playing golf and tending to his beautiful rose garden. A man of uncommon love and devotion to his family, he is survived by his wife Rosalind, son Michael and daughter-in-law Carole of Kensington, MD and daughter, Phyllis and son-in-law Robert Rosone of Little Silver, NJ, as well as six grandchildren; Philip, Christopher, and Joey D'Achille and Stephen, David and Jillian Rosone whom he loved dearly. He also leaves behind twin brother Thomas of East Setauket, NY and Louis of Long Beach, NY and sisters Emilia Siciliano of Shrewsbury, NJ and Gloria Kunicki of Gloversville, NY.
