O'Donnell, Carol Lynn (Wilgus) O'DONNELL Carol Lynn O'Donnell (nee Wilgus) a native of Staten Island, New York passed away peacefully on June 4, 2005 in Las Vegas, NV after a long struggle with breast cancer. Carol was born in the Staten Island Hospital on January 26, 1940 as the daughter of Augusta Wilgus. She graduated from McKee High School and ritered from Chemical Bank after 25 years of service. Carol was an avid bowler, bingo player and loved to spend time having fun with her friends. She is survived by her husband, Anthony O'Donnell, four children; Edward Kiena, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV, Jana Kiena Garber of San Diego, CA, Laura Kiena of Los Angelas, CA and Kerry Campolong of Pittsburgh, PA and eight grandchildren; Kimberly Kiena of Allentown, PA; Orion Quintanilla of Los Angelas, CA; Joel Friedman of San Diego, CA; Thoren Quintanilla of Guam; Lisa Friedman of San Diego, CA; Cody Campolong and Shannon Campolong both of Pittsburgh, PA and Edward Kiena III of Las Vegas, NV and one great-grandchild, Thoren Quintanilla, Jr. of Guam. Carol is also survived by a brother, James Wilgus of Gladstone, NJ and a sister, Katherine Kaul of South Beach. Rycowitch, Mabel Winifred (Normand) RYCOWITCH Mabel Winifred Rycowitch (nee Normand), 76, of Ocean Township died, June 5 at home. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., to the late Claude D. and Winifred Normand, she was the namesake and niece of the late Mabel Normand of Keystone comedy (Mack Sennett) fame. She attended St. Peter's Grammar and High School in Staten Island, In March, 1948 she married her beloved husband Stephen Rycowitch. She lived with her husband and three sons, Claude, Michael and Normand, in Great Kills, Staten Island until 1968 when she moved first to Colonia and latter to Clark. She retired with her husband to Florida until 2004 whe she returned to Ocean Township to live with her son, Normand Rycowitch, following a second heart surgery in 2001. As a young woman, Mabel was a model for lady's catalogue hats, stockings and other clothing a well as for Pepsi Cola. She also developed a unique process of creating greeting cards, which she sold through shops, personalized with printed name and message in script and a theme for each individual as per requesg, using ribbons and drawings to accentuate the uniqueness of the individualized card. She also enjoy being a pen pal to a number of people, particularly in Scotland and England, and she kept a regular corresponsence by letter with numerous friends, both old and new and of all ages. During the past two years, Mabel experienced increasingly poor health due to heart trouble, but continues to live cheerfully, with dignity, among her family and friends who will miss her tremendously. She was predeceased by her son, Michael Rycowitch and her brother, Livingston Joseph Normand. Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Stephen Rycowitch of Ocean Township; two sons Stephen Rycowitch of England and Normand Rycowitch of Ocena Township. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m., Thursday, June 9 at the Worden-Hoidal Funeral Home, 60 East Front Street, Red Bank.
