ANDERSON Juan M. Anderson, 57, of Harker Heights, Texas, formerly of Staten Island, New York, died Monday, June 13, 2005 at Temple Hospital, Temple, Texas, after a valiant battle with cancer. Born and raised on Staten Island to Helen Mangin and James L. Anderson, Juan attended Tottenville High School. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Army. Juan served several years before he was honorably discharged. He lived in Harker Heights and operated A & J Roofing. He attended St. Andrew's Methodist Church. Juan is survived by three brothers; Charles Anderson of Perth Amboy, N.J., Walter Anderson of Sayreville, N.J., and Edward Anderson of Pensacola, Fla; two sisters Geraldine Lee of Staten Island, N.Y. and Valerie Anderson of Metuchen, N.J., as well as several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves a host of friends in Texas. Viewing will be from 7-9 P.M. Tuesday at St. Phillip's Baptist Church, 77 Bennett St., Staten Island, N.Y. The funeral service will be Wednesday morning 10 A.M. at the church, followed by burial at Frederick Douglass Memorial Park Cemetery, Staten Island, N.Y.
