Britten, Michael BRITTEN Michael Britten, 53, of Keansburg, NJ died Tuesday, May 3 at home. Mr. Britten was born in Staten Island, NY prior to moving 20 years ago. He was a Union steel worker and was employed by Gerdav Ameristeel in Perth Amboy. Mr. Britten was an avid fisherman and enjoyed winning local fishing tournaments; he was also a communicant of St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, Keansburg. Mr. Britten was predeceased by his parents, Irving and Ella Britten. Surviving are his wife, Cheryl of Florida; two daughters, Lisa Britten and Lori Britten, both of Keansburg; a son Michael Jr of Keansburg; and three brothers, Richard Britten of upstate NY, Robert Britten of Florida and Tom Britten of Keansburg, and many nieces and nephews. The family will be accepting friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals, 233 Carr Ave, Keansburg, NJ. A Catholic Service will be held on Monday at 9:30 A.M. at the funeral home.
