Joshua Ten Eyck's will, April 28, 1827

In the name of god Amen I Joshua Teneyck of the Town of Hampstead County of
Rockland and State of New York yeoman do make and declare this my last will
and Testament In manner and form following.

First I resign my soul into the hands of Almighty god hoping and believing in
a remission of my sins by the Merrits of Jesus Christ and my body I Commit to
the Earth to be buried at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named, and
as to my worldly estate I give and devise as follows  

First I give and devise to my beloved wife Hannah my real and personal estate
so long as she continues my widow and single but if in Case my said widow
marries then I give her the sum of one hundred dollars In lieu of her dower to
my estate.

Secondly I give and devise to my son Isaac after death or marriage of my said
wife the hole of the lot of land I have purchased that Walter Smith deceased
formerly did own and also the wood lot on the west side of the publik road
that formerly did belong to my father and his choice of my horses, meaning
only one, and an equal forth part of my personal Estate of what kind or nature 
 The same may be with the (?) tenancy to my said son Isaac his heirs and
assigns forever.

Also I do give and devise to my daughter Hannah, the wife of James Westervelt,
Sarah, the wife of Garrett Cooper, and Mariah the wife of Isaac (?) the hole
remainder part of my Lands given by my said father Jacob Teneyck to me to be
divided by my said (?) Executors in quantity and quality so as to Equally
divide between my said daughters Hannah, Sarah and Mariah to them their heirs
and assigns forever.

Also the three Equal fourth parts of my said personal Estate of what kind or
nature the Same may be, but it is not my will that my said daughters should
have any of my said Estate before Mentioned until the marriage or death of my
said wife or her (?) when the said division shall take place and further I do
appoint my wife Hannah my Executrix and further I do appoint John J Gurnie and
Joseph Conklin my Executors and in Case of the death if one or both of my said
Executors I do appoint one of each of them Executors in their place.

In witness hereof I have herein set my hand and Seal the twenty sixth Day of
April in the year one thousand eight hundred and Twenty Seven ----- Johsua
Teneyck (seal)

Signed Sealed published and declared by the said testator as and for his
request and in his Presence and in the Presence of each have subscribed our
names as witnesses thereto Daniel Gurnie, Halstead Gurnee, Benson Gurnee.
