I Henry Baremore of the town of Clarkstown, County of Rockland and State of New York, being of sound mind and memory, blessed be almighty god for the same, but considering the uncertainty of this mortal life, do make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say: First I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Elizabeth her choice of the rooms in the dwelling house wherein I now reside, and two cows with that part of my household furniture she shall think fit to keep for her use, for and during the time she shall remain my widow. Item. I give and bequeath to my son Nathaniel Baremore, and to his heirs and assigns forever, all my real estate of which I shall die, seized of, together with the buildings improvements and appurtenances there unto belonging, consisting of lot on which I now live. Bounded on the west by land of the heirs of Adrian Onderdonk, dec. Also the mountain lot bounded southerly by land formerly belonging to john l. smith, deceased, and east by land formerly belonging to Joseph D. Clark, deceased, containing thirty one and a half acres. Also I give and bequeath to my said son Nathaniel all my cows (the widows two during the time she remains my widow excepted) all my hogs , calves, young cattle and sheep together with all my farming utensils, consisting of ploughs, harrows, guns , all which shall remain bound for the payment of the following legacies and support and expenses, agreeable to the following bequeath and directions. Item. I give and bequeath to my daughter Catherine, the wife of John Storms, two hundred and fifty dollars and the one equal half of all the residue of my personal estate. (One Spanish brown chest in which I keep my private papers, which I bequeath to my son Nathaniel excepted one bed stead straw bed, bolster and two pillows, with sufficiency of blankets and coverlets for winter clothing with two sheets and two pair of pillow cases, which I give and bequeath to my grand daughter Sally Ann Williams who now lives with me which is also excepted and the said sum of money shall be paid to my said daughter catherine by my son Nathaniel two years after my decease. Also, I do further order and direct that two hundred and fifty dollars shall be placed by my said son Nathaniel to the heirs of my daughter Elizabeth, the wife of Elias Williams to be equally divided amongst them by my executors, herein, after names share and share alike after the decease of my said daughter Elizabeth and that my said son Nathaniel shall pay to my said daughter Elizabeth yearly and every year the full sum of fifteen dollars, the first payment to be due and paid one year after my decease. And I do further order and direct that my son Nathaniel shall pay or cause to be paid, all my just debts and funeral expenses and all the expenses necessary in proving my will and attending to the distribution of my estate and that he shall provide for my said widow pasture and hay for her cows and find and provide for her all things necessary for her for a comfortable and decent support during her widowhood and at her death cause her body to be decently buried. And lastly I do nominate and appoint my son Nathaniel Baremore and my grandson Alferd Baremore executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this eleventh day of September in the year of Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty four. Charles Burling Abraham Storms David Bye Rockland County be it remembered that on the first day of March One Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty one personally appeared before me John Van Houton Surrogate in and for said county David Fye (maybe Bye) of the town of Clarkstown in said county one of the Subscribing Witnesses to the Last Will and Testament of Henry Baremore Late of the town of Clarkstown in the said county of Rockland Deceased, who after being duly sworn saith that he saw the said Henry Baremore Deceased Sign seal and execute his Last Will and Testament. (of which the preceeding is a true copy bearing date the Eleventh day of September in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty four and heard him publish and declare the same as and for his Last Will and Testament, and that at the time thereof the said Deceased was possessed of a sound Disposing mind and memory to the best of the knowledge and belief of said Deponent, and that he together with Charles Burling and Abraham Storms Jr. did Severally Subscribe said Will, as Witnesses in the presence of each other and in the presence of the Testator and at his request.
