This indenture made the first day of April in the of the year of our Lord 1801
between Abraham Johnston of Charlton in the county of Saratoga and the state
of New York and Mary his wife of the first part and Asher Cook farmer of the
said Town and County aforesaid of the second part witnesseth that the said
Abraham Johnston and Mary his wife  for and in consideration of the sum of 450
pounds lawful money of the state of New York to him in hand paid at or before
the ensealing of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
have granted bargained sold aliened and confirmed and by these presents do
grant bargain sell alien, release and confirm unto the said Asher Cook his
heirs and assigns forever all that certain tract piece or parcel of land
situate lying and being in said county of Saratoga and being the North moiety
or half part of lot number three of the small lots into which the Lot number
one in subdivision of lot number ten as in the thirteenth allotment of the
general partition of the patent of Hayadanoseras?? is subdivided which said
tract piece or parcel of land is bounded as follows (viz) Beginning at a stake
and a heap of stones in the east bounds of lot number nine of the said
allotment and runs a thence along the same it northerly thirty three chains
and forty nine links to a beach (sic.) tree marked number three of four being
the southwest corner of lot number four of the said small-lots thence along
the south bounds thereof east twenty nine chains and eighty eight links to a
stake and stones standing in the west bounds of lot number two of the said
subdivision thence along same south thirty three chains and forty seven links
to a stake in stones being the north east corner of the south moiety or half
part of the said number three of which this is a part thence along the north
bounds thereof west twenty nine chains and eighty eight links to the place of
beginning Containing one hundred acres of land Together with all the
privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging and the reversion and
reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits of the said one
hundred acres of land hereby granted and all other rights member hereditaments
and appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining and all
the estate right tithe interest property profession Claim and Demand
whatsoever in law and equity of them the said Abraham Johnston and Mary his
wife their heirs and assigns of and to the said hereby granted premises and of
in and to every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances To Have and to
Hold the said land Land Hereditaments and premises above released and
Confirmed with appurtenances unto the said Asher Cook his heirs and assigns to
the only use and behoof of the said Abraham Johnston and Mary his wife for
themselves their heirs executors and administrators the said hereby granted
premises with the appurtenances unto the said Asher Cook his heirs and assigns
against all persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and defend by these
presents In witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto set
their hand seals the day and year first above written before the ensealing of
