Persons or organizations desiring to use this material, must obtain the written consent of the contributor, or the legal representative of the submitter, and contact the listed USGenWeb archivist with proof of this consent. ************************************************************************ Evert Vandenbergh to Nicholas Gardinier` 1794 SCDB B-2 page 513 This Indenture made this twenty Ninth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Ninety four Between Evert Vandenbergh and Mary Vandenbergh his wife of Stillwater in the county of Saratoga and State of New York of the first part and Nicholas Gardinier and Rachel Gardinier his wife of the same place of the second part Witnesseth that the party aforesaid of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Ten pounds current lawful money to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby Confessed and acknowledged Have given Granted Bargained Sold aliened Released Remised Enfeoffed and confirm unto the said Nicholas Gardinier and Rachel Gardinier (in their actual possession now being by virtue of a bargain sale and lease to them thereof made by Indenture bearing Date the Day next before the day of the date of these presents and by force of the Laws for Transferring of uses into possession) and to their Joint heirs and Assigns forever a Certain tract piece or parcel of Land situate lying and being in the Town of Stillwater in the county of Saratoga and state aforesaid within the Limits of a Patent Commonly known by the name of the Saratoga Patent and is a part of Lot Number fourteen and Fifteen of the Division of said Patent and is particularly Bounded and Described as follows viz Beginning on the west line of the Lot Commonly known by the Name of the Fly Lot four Chains Ninety (90) links thence south twenty-nine (29) Degrees West fifteen (15) chains seventy (70) links thence North sixty-nine (69) Degrees West Twenty-three (23) chains fifty-nine (59) links to the east line of Land Leased by Killian D. Rider to John Neilson thence Northerly on said Neilson East line sixteen (16) chains seventy (70) links to his North east corner thence westerly on said Neilsons North line fifteen (15) chains forty (40) links thence North eighteen (18) Degrees East five (5) Chains twenty-six (26) links to the south bank of the aforementioned Brook thence Down the south Bank of the same to the place of Beginning and Contains by Estimation one hundred (100) Acres of Land be the same more or less Together with all and singular the Hereditament and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and Profits thereof and all the Estate Right Title Interest property claim or Demands of the party aforesaid of the first part of unto the aforesaid one hundred acres of land and premises.
