Gansevoort, NY; stated that his residence in 1862, the year of soldier's death, was Northumberland, Saratoga Co, NY and his P.O. address was Gansevoort, NY; stated that his residence from 1862-1889 has been Northumberland, NY; that at the time of his son's death in 1862, his age was 47 years, his wife, ANN GALUSHA, was age 38 years ("born 1821" written next to ANN but crossed out, date not asked for on form as it is for the children); that their children were: George M. born Jan 4, 1845 Mary E. born Nov 13, 1838 James K. born Jan 4, 1845 Phebe Ann born Dec 17, 1853 Mar 4, 1889--GEORGE H. BROWN, aged 49 years and TAYLOR VANDERWAKER, aged 53 years, both residents of Gansevoort, NY; stated that GEORGE M. GALUSHA was recognized as the legitimate son of JAMES GALUSHA and ANN GALUSHA by their neighbors; that ANN GALUSHA, mother of the soldier, died May 3, 1859 at Northumberland, Saratoga Co, NY and that they attended the funeral. Nov 12, 1889--ELIJAH N. FREEMAN, aged 58 years, and FLETCHER HERSON, aged 57 years, both residents of Saratoga Springs, NY; stated that JAMES GALUSHA was 48 years old in 1862 whe his son died. --End--
