Blessed be God, I resign my Body to the dust and my soul to a merciful God who gave it, and in a full belief of a future state of rewards and punishments and with a strong hope of future happiness. I hereby authorize my executors hereafter named to make Sale of my real estate and so much of my personal estate as my said executors may think proper excepting my block which I give my dear wife Hannah Perkins and I hereby authorize and empower my said executors to give good ample and sufficient conveyances in the law which shall vest the property so conveyed amply, legally, equitably in their possession, their heirs and assigns forever as fully as though I myself had conveyed the same. I further order and direct that my said executors shall pay my funeral charges and other debts and the remainder to be laid out for the purchase of a farm, which farm I hereby direct to be placed in the hand of my dear wife Hannah Perkins that she may have the profits of it for the support of my children until they shall all become of Lawful age, then to be divided in the following manner. Namely I give and bequeath one third of my real Estate to my dear wife Hannah Perkins which shall or maybe left at the time of my youngest child becomes of lawful age, and the remainder to be equally divided among my dear Children, their heirs & assigns forever. I hereby name, Constitute and appoint my dear wife Hannah Perkins executrix, and Martin L. Bergan and Samuel Perkins executors to my last will and testament, signed sealed and delivered & declared & published as my last will and testament in the presence of Jonas Olusted Hendrick Van Schauck Jonathan Mosher This twentieth day of February in the year of our lord One Thousand Eight Hundred & Thirteen. Christopher Perkins Saratoga County be it remembered that on the Nineteenth day of April in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirteen formally appeared before me Daniel G. Garnsey, Esquire Surrogate of the County of Saratoga Jonas Olusted & Hendrick Van Schauck two of the subscribing witnesses to the above written will, who being duly sworn on their oath; declared that they saw Christopher Perkins sign (by ordering the said Jonas Olusted to write his name) and seal the above instrument in writing, purporting to be the last will and testament of him the said Christopher Perkins that they heard him publish and declare the same as own for his last will & testament, and that at the time thereof he, the said Christopher Perkins was of sound mind, memory, and understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief and that the names of the said Jonas Olusted and Hendrick Van Schauck subscribed as witnesses to the last will are respectively of their own proper hand writing, and that they have entered their name thereto in the presence of the Testator, and that Johathan Mosher the other subscribing witness thereto subscribed his name to the said will in their presence and the presence of the testator.
