I, Rebecca Howland of the Town and County of Saratoga and State of New York, being of full and lawful age, and of sound mind and memory, knowing the uncertainty of human life and not wishing to die intestate do make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, that is to say: First. I direct that all my debts be paid in the mode and manner required by law. Second. I leave, bequeath and devise unto my beloved children, David J. Howland, Cornelius Howland, Warren C. Howland, Sarah J. Robbins, (wife of David P. Robbins,) George H. Howland, and Richard Howland, all of my property both real and personal and of every name and nature whatsoever and wheresoever the same may be situated to have and to hold the same as their own absolute property and in fee simple, subject, however to the following conditions and reservations, viz. I leave, bequeath and direct that my beloved husband David R. Howland shall have the use and occupation of all my property both real and personal and wheresoever situated, and of every name and nature, together with the rents and income arising from the same, for and during his natural life, provided he shall promptly pay all taxes and assessment against the same and all interest on the mortgages which are now or may hereafter be placed on any of my real estate by me, but if my said husband shall neglect to pay the same then I direct that this provision in his favor shall become void and of no force or effect, after 90 days notice to said husband from my said children of his neglect and default aforesaid, and of their (my said children) intention for said reason to cancel the aforesaid provision in my husband's favor. And in the event of such neglect and default as aforesaid on the part of my said husband and the giving of said notice (in writing) to my said husband by my said children, as is heretobefore provided, then I direct that the immediate possession of said property and the use and occupation shall vest and be in my said children, the same as if said provision for my said husband had not been made herein. Third. I hereby appoint my son Cornelius Howland sole executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made. Delaney On this eleventh day of January, 1893, the undersigned being present and believing the said Rebecca Howland to be of full and lawful age and of sound mind and memory, saw the said Rebecca Howland subscribe the foregoing instrument and at the time of such subscription she acknowledged and declared to us that the instrument so subscribed by her was her last will and testament and she then and there requested us and each of us to subscribe our names to the same as subscribing witnesses. Whereupon we do in her presence and in the presence of each other subscribe the same as subscribing witnesses the day, month, and year last above written. Charles M.
