The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.org/ny/nyfiles.htm *********************************************************************** Transcribed from SAMPUBCO photocopy by Debbi Manni Saratoga co NY Will Book Vol. 8 page 394 Last Will and Testament of Job Albro I George Palmer Surrogate of the county of Saratoga do certify, that on this Thirtieth day of November, 1831, came before me, at William Clarks inn, in the village of Ballston Spa, John Hamilton and John Rhodes, the executors named in the last will and testament of Job Albro late of the town of Edenburgh, in said county deceased, and requested to have the said will recorded, and the said John Hamilton, John Rhodes, and John Albro each being duly sworn say that they were acquainted with the said Job Albro in his life time, and that they saw and heard the said Job execute as his last will and testament a certain paper writing now here shown them, bearing date the third day of April, one thousand eight hundred and thirteen, and that the said Job signed his name thereby making his mark, and that at the time of executing said will the said Job was of a sound disposing mind and memory, and in all respects competent to devise real estate, of lawful age and free from restraint, and that the said witnesses subscribed their names to said will in the presence of the said testator and of each other. It appearing to said Surrogate, that the said will was only executed and that the said testator was at the time of executing the same competent in all respects to devise real estate, and free from restraint, the said Surrogate admits said will, in the words and figures, to be recorded. In the name of God Amen. I Job Albro of the town of Edenburgh, in the county of Saratoga and the state of New York being weak in body but of sound mind and memory, do make & publish this my last will and testament, in manner & form following that is to say, first, I give and bequeath until my beloved wife Eunice Albro all my estate both real and personal during her natural life keeping one bed and bedding for one bed and one bed stead and one chest, which I give unto my daughter Make Baker married woman. I further will that after the decease of my wife, that my estate both real and personal shall be equally divided among my grand children, that is five by my son Andrew Albro, three by my son Stephen Albro (may be Spencer?) six by my daughter Sarah Green, five by my daughter Elizabeth Allen and two by my daughter Mary Baker, twenty-one in all, and I do appoint John Rhodes and John Hamilton executors to this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this third day of April, in the year of our Lord, one thousand, eight hundred and thirteen.
