In the name of God, Amen. I, John Bub of the Town of Glenville in the County of 
Schenectady and State of New York, being of sound mind and memory and considering 
the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life, do therefore make, ordain, 
publish and declare this to be my Last Will and Testament: That is to say:

First – I order all my just debts and Funeral and Testamentary expenses to be 
paid.

Second – I give, devise and bequeath all of the rest and remainder of my estate 
both real and personal to my children John Bub, Adam Bub, Valentine Bub, Henry 
Bub, Katie Bence, Louisa Gartner and to my Grandson Joseph Bence and to my 
Granddaughters Annie and Lizzie Bence, being children of my deceased daughter 
Mary Bence, share and share alike, the children of my deceased daughter to take 
the share of their mother being in equal undivided one seventh part.

Third – I order my executor hereinafter named to sell all my real estate either 
at public or private sale, to contract, sell, dispose of and convey the same as 
fully as I could do if living and the proceeds arising therefore is to be divided 
on by the second clause of this my Will.

Lastly – I hereby make, constitute and appoint my son Henry Bub to be my Executor 
of this my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me made.

In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal the 
Twenty first day of January in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred 
and Eighty-nine.

The above written instrument was subscribed by the said John Bub in our presence 
and acknowledged by him to each of us and he at the same time declared the above 
instrument so subscribed to be his Last Will and Testament and we at his request 
and in his presence and in the presence of each other have signed our names as 
witnesses hereto and written opposite our names our respective places of 
residence.
