I, Gertrude Van Ingen, Widow of Dr. Dirk Van Ingen, late of the City of Schenectady do, being desirous to arrange my temporal affairs and being of sound, disposing mind, memory and understanding (Blessed to God for the same) do make and publish this my Last Will and Testament in manner following, that is to say: First I give and devise to my Daughter Alida, widow of James McKinney, all that certain piece or parcel of land lying on the Island in the Mohawk River and opposite to the compact part of mid-city usually called Oakes (?) or Van Slycks Island which said piece of land contains One Morgan of land be the same more or less, to have and to hold to my said daughter, Alida and to her heirs and assigns forever. Also, I give and bequeath unto my said daughter, Alida for and during her Widowhood, all the Interest, income, and profits accruing or arising or which have already accrued or arisen from and out of all or any debts due or owing to me or out of any monies which now belong or which shall or may at the time of my decease belong to me which interest, income, and profits to be at her absolute dispersal and my further will is and I do hereby order and direct that after the decease or remarriage of my said daughter which shall first happen, the monies (if any) of which I may die possessed shall, by my executors hereinafter named, be added to the principal of the debts which shall or may be due to me at my decease and shall, by my executors, be divided into two equal parts or shares, one of which parts or shares, I give and bequeath unto the five children of my late son James Wemple or his legal representatives, share and share alike; and the other part or shares to my Grandson, Myndert McKinney and to their respective Executors and Administrators absolutely. Also, all the rest and residue of my Estate, real and personal, and not herein otherwise disposed of I give, devise and bequeath to my said daughter, Alida, her heirs and assigns forever. Lastly, I do hereby constitute, appoint my said daughter Alida E______ and my stepson, Abraham Van Ingen, executors of this, my last will and testament, in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the fifteenth day of November in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and fifteen.
