Moon Schenectady co NY Will Book Vol. B page 109 The Last Will and Testament of Jacobus Van Eps (1772-1826) Transcribed as recorded by ------------------------------------------------------------------------ In the name of God Amen, I, Jacobus Van Eps of the town of Glenville and county of Schenectady, being of sound disposing mind and life, blessed be Almighty God for the same do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is today. First, I give and bequeath unto my oldest son John Van Eps all my rights and title of a piece of land beginning by an old pine stump on the westerly side of the road and besides the privilege of water - also a certain tract or parcel of land on the east side of the road betwixt Polly Van Eps' and John Baptist A. Van Eps' and I also give and devise to my son John Van Eps two acres of woodland at Mr. Hagenburgh's - the said John Van Eps has to give Abraham Van Eps one hundred dollars to be paid to him at the end of 12 years after the date. Item- I also give and devise to my son Henry Van Eps and his heirs and assigns my old homestead with all the land and improvements. Also twenty acres of land on the west side of the farm. Item- I also give and devise to my son Harmanus Van Eps and his heirs and assigns ten acres of land which they call Bell's lot - besides the two acres of woodland at Mr. Hagenburgh's besides twenty nine acres of land joining Henry Bulman's lot. Item- Henry Bulman one acre of land with the buildings on. Item- Henry Van Eps you are to give your brother Abraham Van Eps a trade of what suits him best and twenty five dollars cash -you are to give him a good learning. Besides you are to give your brother Cornelius Van Eps fifty dollars and your sister Elizabeth twenty five dollars, one cow and a hiefer. Item- John Van Eps, Henry Van Eps, Harmanus Van Eps all personal estate to be divided equally among them share and share alike excepting forty bushels of rye and 5 bushels of wheat - excepting the household furniture which I give and bequeath unto my two daughters Jane Bulman and Elizabeth Van Eps. Item- I also devise that my son Harmanus has to give Harmanus Waggoner ten dollars cash to be paid in 5 years. Item Four cows which belong to the family. I advise - Item I also advise that my daughter Elizabeth five sheep Item I also devise and bequeath that the horses and waggons and plough and dog should stay on the old place. And lastly, I constitute and ordain my wife Elizabeth Van Eps and my son John Van Eps executors of this my last will and testament and hereby revoke all former wills by me made.
