Enders To Jeremiah Enders This Indenture Made the twenty fifth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty seven Between John I. Enders of the town and County of Schoharie & state of New York and Margaret his wife of the first part, and Jeremiah Enders, of the same place, of the second part, Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum f Four Hundred Dollars, money of account of the United States, to them in hand paid, by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby confessed and acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold, remised, released, aliened and confirmed. And by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, remise, release, alien and confirm unto the said party of the second part, and to his heirs and assigns forever, One Hundred acres of land to be taken from the north side of Lot number twenty one in Clinton and Melchers Patent in the town of Conklin in the County of Broome in the State of New York. The said One Hundred acres of land are to be divided from the residue of said lot by a line to be run parallel with the north line of said Lot. Together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances, thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining. And the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents, issues an proofs, thereof, and also all the estate right, title, interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever of the said parties of the first part, either in law or equity, of, in, and to the above bargained premises, with the said hereditaments and appurtenances. To Have and To Hold the said One hundred acres of Land, unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, to the sole and only proper and benefit and behoof of the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said parties of the first part, for themselves, their heirs, executors and administrators , do covenant, grant, bargain, promise and agree to and with the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, that they the said parties of the first part, their heirs, executors, and administrators, the above bargained premises, in the quiet and peaceable possession of the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, will Warrant and forever Defend against all and every person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim the whole or any part thereof. Enders and Margaret his wife to me known to be the same individual persons described in & who executed the within conveyance & severally acknowledged that they had executed the same, for the use and purpose therein mentioned. And the said Margaret on a private examination, apart from her husband acknowledged that she had executed the same without any fear or compulsion from her said husband, there being no material erasures or interlineations, Let it be recorded, Charles F. Keyser, clerk of the Court of Common Please, in and for the County of Schoharie, Do certify that Charles F. Vogel whose name is subscribed to the certificate of acknowledgement as proof of the annexed Deed and ..thereon, was on the day of the date of the said certificate, a Commission of Deeds in and for the said County, duly authorized by law to take the same and further I am well acquainted with his hand writing and verily believe that the signature of the said Commissioner subscribed to the said certificate is his proper handwriting.
