Will Book Vol. 11 Pages 223-225 Written: March 6, 1885 Recorded: September 5, 1885 Will of William H. Wetsel. In the name of God Amen: I William H. Wetsel of the town of Carlisle Schoharie County N.Y. of the age of seventy three yrs, of sound mind and memory do hereby make publish and declare this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made. First: I Will order and direct that my beloved wife Eliza have during thee period of her natural Life her support + maintenance out and of and upon the farm on which I reside containing 96 acres more or less, my wife to be treated kindly in all things and to be suitably and properly clothed and also to be paid by my son Henry the sum of one hundred dollars annually during the term of her natural life, and I hereby declare the foregoing provisions in favor of my said Wife to be a lien and charge upon my said farm and said provisions to be in lieu and stead of her dower in my estate. Second I give devise and bequeath unto my sons Daniel + Austin the sum of eight hundred dollars each to be paid to them by my son Henry 3 yrs after the decease of my said Wife and I hereby make and declare the payment of the same a lien and charge upon my said farm. Third. Subject to the payment of the sum of two hundred dollars to my daughter Mary Jane wife of Monroe Collins by my son Ira Wetsel three years after the decease of my said Wife I give devise and bequeath unto my said son Ira Wetsel the place now occupied by him at East Cobleskill N.Y. consisting of ten acres of land with the buildings theron. Fourth: I give devise + bequeath unto my said daughter Mary Jane in addition to the aforesaid two hundred dollars the sum of two hundred dollars (making four hundred dollars in all) the last named Two hundred dollars to be paid to her by my said son Henry three years after the decease of my said Wife and I hereby make and declare this payment of the said two hundred dollars to be a lien and charge upon my said farm. The payment of the two hundred dollars to her by my said son Ira as aforesaid shall be a lien and charge upon the real estate herein devised to him. Fifth. I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Hellen wife of Willin Snyder the sum of $400 to be paid to her by my said son Henry three (3) ys. after the decease of my said wife + I hereby make and declare this legacy a lien + charge upon my said farm Sixth. Subject to the foregoing provisions in favor of my said Wife + subject to the payment of my debts and funeral expenses + also subject to the liens and charges thereon I hereby give devise and bequeath to my said son Henry Wetsel my said farm on which I now reside consisting of 96 acres more or less to him his heirs and assigns forever together with all my personal estate goods, chattels, + property of every name-kind + description whatsoever. Seventh: I hereby nominate and appoint my said Wife to be the executrix and my said son Henry to be the executor of this my Last Will and Testament-In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand + seal this day + year as follows March 6th 1885 William Wetsel L.S. Robert Richtmyer " " Schoharie County } Surrogate Court } In the matter of proving the Will of} William Wetsel late of the town } of Carlisle, deceased} Schoharie County Ss. Watson of Cobleskill in the County of Schoharie and Robert Richtmyer of Cobleskill in the County of Schoharie being duly sworn in open Court do depose and say they are the subscribing witnesses to the Last Will and Testament of Wm H Wetsel late of the town of Carlisle in the County of Schoharie deceased. That the said Wm Wetsel did in the presence of these deponents subscribe his name at the end of the instrument which is now shown and ex- hibited to these deponents and which purports to be the Last Will and Testament of the said Wm Wetsel dec'd and which Will bears date on the 6th of March 1885 Deponents further say that the said Wm Wetsel the said Testator did at the same time of subscribing his name to the said Last Will as aforesaid declare the said instrument so subscribed and now exhibited to be his last Will and Testament and these Deponents did thereupon at his request and in his presence subscribe their name at the end of the said Will as attesting Witnesses thereto in the presence of each other. Deponents further say that at the said time when the said testator subscribed his name to the said Last Will as aforesaid and at the time of these deponents subscribing their names as attesting witnesses thereto as aforesaid the said Wm Wetsel was of sound mind and memory of full age to execute a Will of Real Estate and was not under any restraint to the knowledge information or belief of these deponents and further these deponents say not. Co. do hereby certify that the Last Will and Testament of Wm Wetsel late of the town of Carlisle Scho. Co. deceased of which the foregoing record is a true Copy was by me duly admitted to probate and recorded as a Will of Real Estate and personal estate on the 5th day of Sept. 1885. Which record together with the foregoing record of the proofs and examinations taken before me in relation to the execution and validity thereof is hereby signed + certified by me pursuant to the provisions of the statutes of this State.
