New York In the name of God Amen, I Henry Foland of the town of Sharon in the county of Scholarie and State of New York being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory;---be all almighty Godfor the same but bearing in mind and considering the uncertainity of this mortal life, and that it is appointed for all men once to die , therefore do make constitute and publish this as my last will and testament in manner and form as following that is to say, first I assign my soul unto God who gave it, and my body unto the earth to be buried in a Christian like manner at the desecration of my executors herein after to be named, and as for such worldly estate and concerns as it has pleased God to bless me with in the first place, that all my just and lawful debts if any at the time of my decease, of every kind and nature and my funeral charges be paid out of my estate which I hereafter give and bequeath unto my two sons Philip and George Voland , and first I give and bequeath unto my dear and beloved wife Anna Maria Voland one good cow five sheep of the best I may have at the time of my decease, the back room in my new house where I now reside in and the furniture -- in the chamber room , stoop and Cellar and keeping for said cow and shuf?? or other wise in lieu of said keeping forty dollars a year and a decent maintenance out of my real estate which I hereinafter give and bequeath unto my two sons Phillip and George I also give my dear and beloved wife all the household furniture Excepting such items I bequeath to my daughter Eliza as long as she living and after her decease ----------unreadable--------bequeathed unto my beloved wife --unreadable two sons Philip and George to be divided equally between them--unreadable stove ------------unreadable George Voland . Second I give and bequeath unto my son -----Martin the sum of one dollar ----after my decease. Thirdly I give and bequeath unto my son Henry Voland the sum of one dollar -----------unreadable. Fourthly I give and bequeath unto my daughters Polly, Eve, Margaret and Siney each the sum of five dollars. Fifthly I give and bequeath unto my daughter Hannah the sum of fifteen dollars and Sixthly I give and bequeath unto my daughter Eliza the sum of twenty dollars and likewise my cherry table my cherry stand and cherry cradle , one blue chest one good cubbard, good bedding for one bed and a good feather bed and the choice of the bed curtains, also one cow two good sheep and as much -furniture as to make a decent out setting. All the above I have given and bequeath to my daughter to be given by my sons Philip and George in three years after my decease without any interest until they ----.unreadable Seventh I give and bequeath unto my two sons Phillip and George all the residue of my personnel Estate good and chattels of every kind and nature whatsoever it may consist in to be divided between them share alike. I also bequeath unto my said two sons Phillip and George and to their heirs and assigns forever, each the farms on which they now live and using now have the same in their possession and agreeable to the deeds I now hold for the same lands. Phillip-- unreadable -the south side one half of lot number thirty three and George to have the north half of the said lot number thirty three and it is further my will that George shall have the furniture in the house and the remainder of my personnel estate to be divided and Last I do constitute and appoint my two beloved sons Henry H. Voland and George Voland my trusted friends all of the town of Sharon County of Scholarie and State of New York my witnesses of this my last will and testament .--unreadable - revoking all former wills by me made in writing ------------------unreadable. I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty fifth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty six.
