B page 149 The Will Of John Enders In the name of God Amen, I, John Enders of the town of Schoharie in the County of Schoharie, considering the uncertainty of this mortal life, and being of sound mind, perfect mind and memory, Blessed be the Almighty God for the same do make and publish this, my last will and testament, in manner and form following (that is to say) First, I give and devise unto my Eldest son John I. Enders, his heirs and assigns, all that my farm situated in the town of Schoharie aforesaid, on the south side of Foxes Creek in a patent granted to Myndert Schuyler and others, consisting of the following lots viz. Number one hundred and thirteen, one hundred and fourteen and one hundred and sixteen. Also, forty six acres in the Easterly end of Lot number twenty seven on the north side of Foxes Creek in a patent granted to Jacob Sternbergh and thereby I further give and bequeath unto my said son John I. Enders, all my farming utensils, carpenter tools and horses. Also, all my outstanding debts whatsoever, unto his heirs and assigns forever. I also give and devise unto my grandson John Enders, Eldest son of my son William Enders, Lot number twenty Eight on the north side of Foxes Creek in a patent Granted to Jacob Sternberg and others, aforesaid, which said Lot of land is to be under the care and direction of my said son John I. Enders, until my said Grandson John Enders shall arrive to the age of twenty one years. And it is further my will and order that the wife of my said son William Enders, named Marabe shall be entitled to her living or sustenance off or from the produce and emoluments of the above mentioned lot number twenty eight together with her children during such time as she may remain the wife of my said son William Enders or his widow in case of his death. I also give, devise and bequeath unto my youngest son Peter I. Enders, one acre of land situated lying and being on the North side of the Foxes Creek and the publick road leading from Schoharie to Albany together with the ___? there unto belonging together with all my black smithy tools whatsoever. I also give and bequeath unto my Granddaughters of Jacob Becker junr, the following sums of money. To wit to Hannah, the sum of one hundred dollars, to Elisabeth, fifty dollars and to Catherine, fifty dollars to be paid by my said son John I. Enders as soon as they may respectively arrive to the age of Eighteen years. I further give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Hannah, all the residue and remainder of my personal estate whatsoever, whom, it is my will and order that my said son John I. Enders shall decently and comfortably keep and maintain with every necessary during her natural life. And lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint my said son John I. Enders and William W. Enders executors of this, my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made. Maxwell who both testified that they are subscribing witnesses to the above will of John Enders and did see him execute the same as his last will and testament and that they did subscribe their names as witnesses thereto in the presence of the Testator and that they did see Jacob Becker the other witness subscribe his name as a witness thereto at the same time in the presence of the testator and the other witnesses. Know ye that at the town of Schoharie in the County of Schoharie on the twenty fifth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Seventeen before me, John Gebhard Esquire, Surrogate of our said County, The last will and testament of John Enders, deceased (a copy of where of is hereunto annexed) was proved and is now approved and allowed of by us and the said deceased having whilst he lived and at the time of his death goods, chattels or credits within this by means whereof the proving and registering the said Will, and granting administration of all and singular, the said goods, chattels and credits and also the auditing allowing and final discharging the account thereof doth belong unto us. The administration of all and singular the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased and any way concerning his Will is granted unto John J. Enders and William W. Enders in the said Will named they being first duly sworn well and faithfully to administer the same and to make and exhibit a true and verified inventory of all and singular, the said goods, chattels and credits and also to render a just and true account thereof when there unto required. In testimony whereof, we have caused the Seal of office of our said Surrogate to be hereunto witness.
