Apr 23, 1821) will dated Jul 25, 1807, proved Sep 8, 1821 Last Will and Testament of Christian Ottmam (sic) In the name of God Amen. I Christian Ottman of Sharon in the County of Schoharie & State of New York am old in Common good State of health Sound mind and well disposed memory Blessed be god (sic) this day the twenty fifth day of July one thousand eight hundred and seven But Calling unto mind the mortality of my body the Frayalty (sic) of life The Certainty of death the uncertainty of time and Circumstances and Knowing it is for all to Die induce me to make to make (sic) Constitute and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following: That is to say I give my soul to Almighty God who first gave it me And my body I recommend to the earth from whence it first was taken. To be buried in a Christian like decent Burial at the discretion of my executors herein after named There to rest untill (sic) it shall again arise and be reunited with my soul in a joyful ressurection (sic) through the merits of Jesus Christ in the last Day. 1st And as to Such worldly Estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life I will give and Dispose of in the following manner and form VIZ I will and order that all my lawful debts and funeral charges together with the Legacies So as they are particularized and herein after Contained shall be fully satisfied and paid. 2 Item I give unto my dear and loving Wife Christina Ottman all her Household stuff and furniture bed and bedding All her wearing appearel (sic) her linnen (sic) & woolen (sic) Cloath (sic) and yarn together with two Milk Cows and five sheep to and for her own proper use and behoof for ever I also will and order that my said wife shall be permitted to live and dwell in my mansion house Together with my son Johannes Ottman and his family to be then and there by him decently mentained (sic) and sufficiently entertained as becometh such a mother As also shall there have the keeping for her said Cattle land sheep for and during her so staying with him and further also that he pay annually unto her the sum of six Pounds unto her if demanded by her during life of Widowhood. 3 Item I give and bequeath unto my son Johannes Ottman one hundred Acres of my farm whereon I now dwell To be surveyed off from the North end of the lott (sic) to his own proper use benefit and behoof and to his heirs and assisgns forever 4 Item I give and devise unto my son Christian Ottman to and for his good Mentainance (sic) fifty acres of land to be surveyed off from the south end of my farm whereon I now dwell I also will order and direct that this my son Christian shall live & dwell in my house Together with my son Johannes Ottman Then and there to be sufficiently mentained (sic) together with the family in boarding lodging mending washing and apparel for and during his natural life But should it so happen that my son Christian should not be well so entertained as aforesaid should lak (sic, lack) Suffer or be abused That then and in such cause it shall be lawful for any two of my executors on full proof Together by and with the advise (sic, advice) Counsel and consent of a majority of my children to Seize Sell and convey the fifty acres of and aforesaid or so much thereof or so much thereof (sic) as shall be found to be necessary and out of the monies arising from such sale, Shall cause him to be mentained (sic) as aforesaid and after his decease I give and bequeath the fifty acres aforesaid or so much thereof as may be left unto my son Johannes Ottman and to his heirs and assigns forever. 5 I give and bequeath unto my son William Ottman all my part and share right and title to the lease Farm where on he now dwells and to his heirs and assigns for ever. 6 I give unto my son Peter Ottman a full dead (sic, deed) ready executed to cover the the (sic) whole farm on which he now lives to be delivered unto him by my executors six weeks after my decease To him the said Peter Ottman his heirs and assigns for ever. Item I will and order that my son Peter pay or cause to be paid unto my son Henricus Ottman or his heirs the sum of ten Pounds as also That he pay or cause to be paid unto my daughter Marya Radley or her heirs the sum of ten Pounds. 7 Item I give and Bequeath unto my son Nicholas Ottman a full deed ready Executed to cover the whole Farm on which he now lives to be delivered to him by my executors six weeks after my deceas (sic) To him the said Nicholas Ottman his heirs and assigns for ever. Item I will and order that he pay or cause to be paid unto my son Henricus Ottman or his heirs the sum of ten Pounds Also that he pay or cause to be paid unto my Daughter Mary Radly (sic) or her heirs the sum of ten Pounds. 8 Item I give and bequeath unto my son Jacob Ottman a full and ready (sic, word missing: deed) Executed to cover the whole of the Farm on which he now lives, To be delivered unto him the said Jacob his heirs and assigns for ever. Item I will land order That my son Jacob pay or cause to be paid unto my Son Henricus Ottman or his heirs the sum of ten Pounds as also that he pay or cause to be paid unto my daughter Mary Radley or her heirs the sum of ten Pounds. 9 Item I give and bequeath unto my son George Ottman a full deed ready executed to be delivered unto him by my executors six weeks after y decease To cover the whole of that Farm lately bought of Christopher Poor To him the said George Ottman, his heirs and assigns for ever, Item I will and order that my son George, Pay or cause to be paid unto my grand daughter, Elizabeth Hiller.. or her heirs after full age the just and full sum of Twenty Pounds. 10 Item I give and bequeath unto my son Cornelius Ottman a full deed ready to be delivered unto him by my Executors six weeks after my decease executed to cover the whole of that Farm, on which he now lives to him the said Cornelius Ottman his heirs and assigns for ever. Item I will and order that my son Cornelius pay or cause to be paid unto my grand daughter Elizabeth hiller (sic) or her heirs after full age the just and full sum of twenty pounds. 11 Item I give and bequeath unto my Son Johannes Ottman all my Horses and taklings (sic, tack) Together with every kind of farming Utensils To him his heirs and assigns forever. Item I also will and order that my son Johannes Ottman Pay or cause to be paid unto my Daughter Catharina Hiller or her Heirs the just and full sum of Sixty Pounds. 12 Item I will direct and order That all my personal property whatsoever remaining (The Swine only excepted which shall stay with the old farm shall be equally divided among my second wife's Children share and share alike. And lastly I make ordain Constitute and appoint my true and trusty Sons William Ottman Peter Ottman and Johannes Ottman my sole executors of this my Will in trust for the intents and purposes therein Contained To se (sic, see) that it be duly executed and they shall take Care to se (sic) the same fuly performed According to my true intent and meaning In Witness whereof I the said Christian Ottman have hereunto set my hand and Seal as and for my Last will and Testament The Day and year first above written. Signed Sealed and delivered Pronounced and Declared by the said Christian Ottman as and for his Last will and Testament In the presence of us who signed our names at his request in the room he there was. September 1821 saith that he saw Christian Ottman sign and seal the within written instrument purporting to be the Last will and testament of the said Christian Ottman bearing date on the twenty fifth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seven and heard him publish and declare the same as and for his last will and testament; that at the time thereof he the said Christian Ottman was of sound mind and memory to be best o f the knowledge and belief of him this deponent and that Jacob Brown and Job Taft together with the deponent subscribed the said will as witnesses thereto in the testators (sic, 's)presence, And that the said Christian Ottman is dead and resided in the town of Sharon in the County aforesaid when he died.
